I really like the story you wrote, and the way it ends. Don't feel like the 'verse wasn't satisfying as you wrote it. :)

Thanks--I feel a little silly now because the story ended up being pretty well received and this post comes off as sort of fishing for compliments. (Which it wasn't meant to be; I honestly felt like I needed to explain.) But hey--people are saying a lot of really interesting things about the story, and structure, and why certain things work and other things don't, which I'm not sure they would have said had I been all, "My masterpiece, let me show you it."

So that's good.
