Kazuki was trying to busy himself with folding the laundry. He harvested fresh towels from the towel bush while the dirty ones simply disintegrated after a day or two. It was weird, but he quickly learned never to question the unique vegetation of this region.

Once all the new towels were folded, he carried out a set to his lone guest. Like all his other visitors, he had to focus away from the fact that they were naked. It was significantly harder when it was this particular person. He cleared his throat softly, hoping he wasn't disturbing her.

He bowed his head and put the towels on a bench. "I hope you're enjoying your soak, Blink-san."

Kazuki's cough came through as barely a muffled sound, but stood out enough that Blink slowly sat up, her hair heavy and slicked back, sticking to her neck where her skin was above water. Blinking a few times, she cleared the mist from her eyes and smiled. "I... yes. Thank you, Kazuki..." Her lips pursed when he said her name, and she stopped herself from giggling. "You don't have to be so formal with me, Kazuki. You can call me Clarice, it's okay." She lifted herself further out of the water, but still 'decent,' between the swirling surface of the water, and the steam that hovered just above it.

"I probably should get out soon... I mean, I don't want to prune up..." Her voice carried no conviction. She felt almost like she should sink to the bottom of the spring, and see how long she could stay down there before either coming up or... don't even go there, girl. "But not yet." She leaned her head back, letting her hair start to drift in the water again. "You..." She stopped, then sat back up, turning around to fully face him. "...you ( ... )

"NO! No no no no!" Kazuki put his hands up almost instantly. "I may be a lot of things, but disrespectful... Okay, I can be that too. But never to a lady." He sat down, but made sure his back was turned to his nude guest. It allowed Blink to see something that very few have ever seen before:

His curly boar tail. It was hiding just underneath his fiery red clothing.

"You name is Clarice? Why do call yourself Blink sometimes?" The ninja asked, curious as to why she would hide her identity.

Blink smiled even more, her spirits boosting, if only for the moment. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to tease you like that. It's just... cute. Reminds me of someone back home." She reached for the towel and wrapped it around herself, folding it over her chest to spare Kazuki further embarrassment. She kept staring, at him, noticing the tail that poked out. Allowing herself a quiet chuckle at how... adorable? Sure, adorable, why not? "It's safe now ( ... )

Evil overlord. Kazuki could relate to that better than she could imagine. That's how he almost lost his sister. He managed to rescue Hazuki in time, but then he was pulled here. "Amakusa..." He muttered, almost lost in his own thoughts. Though he did catch why she was named Blink.

"Warriors... fighting against an evil power..." He said again, but not really directing it at her. Maybe the two of them had more in common than he first thought. He reached up and scratched behind his ear. Then he realized he was sort of rambling while she spoke. "Oh um... sorry. It's just that your story... feels familiar to me. I want to continue calling you Blink, but Clarice is a pretty name." Poor guy was getting easily confused again. He hadn't even noticed she only let her closest friends call her that.

"Then call me Blink. I don't mind." Another smile, and Blink fluffed her hair out a little, then reached for the easily-identified pile of green clothes. "Thank you for washing these, Kazuki." With a bit of a shuffle of her feet and wiggling of her hips, she was able to pull the bottom of her unitard up snug under her towel. A little 'girl magic' later, and she had dumped the towel over the bench for a moment, stretching the material over her head until it 'popped' through, fitting snugly around her neck. All without losing a bit of modesty.

As she wrapped the towel around her hair, she pressed her curiosity. "You've been up against impossible odds in a battle with some great evil, too?" She tightened the turban in front, then settled back down on the bench, putting on a few other pieces of clothing. "What was yours like?" She was being willfully distracted, looking for other things to occupy her mind. Anything was better than thinking about...

"Blink it is, then!" Kazuki smiled wide despite the face that he still wasn't facing her. When he realized that, he quickly glanced over and saw that she was fully dressed again. He let out a rather loud "Phew!" before he turned back around.

He dipped his bare feet into the hot water before he began. "It was... kind of scary, actually." For the first time, Kazuki looked like he was in deep thought. "It basically starts with my sister getting kidnapped by the sorcerer Amaksuka. I was forced to go rogue from the clan that raised me. We're... not allowed to go after lost ninja. But I couldn't just let that madman have my sister!

"The Kazama clan sent my brother Sougetsu to kill me. But instead of doing that, he allowed me to escape with Hazuki." Kazama sighed, the feeling of homesickness washing through him. He missed Sougetsu and Hazuki more than he first thought.

Blink smiled wistfully. "Sounds like Magneto would have liked you, Kazuki." She touched his shoulder gently. "We were soldiers, and it was war... but if it was ever in his power, Magneto... our leader... would never leave someone behind, especially not to face the horrors Apocalypse had in store." A sigh followed. "Though... leaving on my own almost got me kicked out... Not as bad as getting killed by your brother, but if you were from my world, it was bad in its own right."

Slowly, she rose to her feet, striding over to a tree not too far from the steaming bath. Reaching up into it, she plucked a brightly-colored brush from one of the branches, and returned to the bench, setting it down before leaning forward. She grabbed her towel-wrap in both hands and began properly drying her hair. "A sorcerer, huh? Fought one of those not that long ago... the guy had remade an entire city to resemble his old home... buildings, vehicles, even the people there. Something tells me yours was more sinister, though."

Kazuki nodded while he did his best to not pay attention to the pretty young woman... drying and combing that long, pretty hair... "R-right. This sorcerer's been killed before, but he somehow kept coming back to life. Battling him is something I'd rather not do again, that's for sure." The ninja crossed his arms.

"Sounds like your group is a lot like my clan. Hell, you remind me a lot of Hazuki. Right down to wearing green..." He was almost tempted to ask if Blink's team had a water user in their group, but he bit his tongue. Then he realized what he just said. Blink was very much like Hazuki. Both girls wore green and were very strong in their own right. And since Hazuki was not biologically related to Kazuki OR Sougetsu... That meant...
