Summary: Blink's been acting a little oddly since returning, and since recently stopping by the forest to help Kazuki with a technical problem, she hasn't returned to her tent. Why?
Steam curled away from her hand as Blink lifted it out of the water, comparing the droplets from her fingertips to those fading wisps leaving her spring-warmed skin. Way too brief, she thought, twisting her wrist slowly, flexing her fingers in the violet-hued moonlight, the droplets of water looking like small pearls of amethyst as they fell.
A long, relaxed, and yet sad sigh escaped her lips, and she leaned back, immersing most of her head in the water, save for her face. The steam was certainly loosening her muscles, which had been tight with stress almost constantly since her return, but relaxation brought thoughtfulness. During this past curse, Blink had been angry, but in a way, she was glad for that. It kept her mind elsewhere. But here, now, her thoughts were on the past... and the present. What had happened right before she arrived again...
Her green eyes reflected the steam and the moonlight a little too clearly. It's just the steam, she thought to say if Kazuki asked. Steam's just making my eyes water.
Except she knew she wouldn't say that. She was too honest to say something like that.
