Domestic Bliss
This weekend I:
Did yardwork
Thoroughly cleaned the kitchen
Daydreamed about getting a new stove
Narrowly escaped a yellow jacket accident while taking down shutters
Sanded shutters
Watched parts of my favorite movies (Godfather I and II) on the AMC marathon. I didn't watch the whole movies because I own them on DVD and want to watch all three again soon with Colin
Made pasta sauce from scratch
Made migas for Colin
Drank a delicious bloody mary that Colin made for me
Watched The Cave
Cuddled with the kitty
Lifted a caterpillar to safety
Helped out a toad
Mass-murdered lawn grubs. I'm feeling very guilty about this. But our front lawn is a giant dirt pile because of them and they are still kind of in the larvae stage.
Random thoughts:
As I was sanding the metal shutters I was wondering why everyone in our neighborhood has these little fake shutters on their houses. Why? But I am going to put ours back up, after I paint them. And we're going to put up flower boxes. Pretty soon I'll be walking with the moms in the evenings. Colin and I also discussed planting hostas, getting wood chips and placing patio stones. Who are we?
Oh yeah. We also got a new Frigidaire regrigerator last week because our old one finally died. It's pretty awesome:
