A life Update
So this is what I've been up to....
Last weekend:
Joined the Donks in breaking our moratoreum on the BOB to go to the Monkey Bar. It was good company, good food and yummy martinis! Oh yeah, and dessert!
Bloody Mary Sunday at O'tooles with friends. Good times.
The week:
Work, work, work for Colin and I. I've had so many meetings at work lately too. Big projects in the que. But fun ones.
This Saturday (yesterday):
ROADTRIP TO THE MOTOR CITY!!! That's right. We packed up the car to go see Metric at St. Andrews. But first we had to stop by some of our old favorite haunts. First stop, Royal Oak to eat at Monterey. We've been eating veggie quesadillas there for years. I won't tell you how many because it's shocking. We're old. Then we walked down a few blocks to another fave spot - Gusoline Alley. It's the greatest little hole in the wall bar in the middle of this trendy, piano-bar area. We got the usual, big cans of Fosters for $4. then we got back to the car just in time to avoid a parking ticket!
Next stop - the bar down the street from St. Andrews. Can't remember the name but we always get beers there while waiting for the line to go down at the club.
Final stop: St. Andrews for Metric. We were able to get really close and they were incredible. Colin was jealous of their lights. He wanted to steal a few for Jukes. I offered to put them under my shirt but you know, the bouncers probably would have noticed up jumping on stage and putting giant lights under my shirt. Speaking of shirts, I saw all the shirts I want from Urban on people at the show. I guess Urban Outfitters is to Detroit what Target is to GR.
Today Lazy Sunday before work madness starts for both of us tomorrow.
