Things You Can Read
In honor of World Book Day, Amazon has made a selection of nine international books in English translation available to download for free (and the accompanying audiobooks are listed at a deep discount). They're of varying degrees of interest to me, but I've grabbed all nine, because why not?
The ebooks will be free until Tuesday the 24th at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. You don't have to have a Kindle device to read files in the Kindle format, by the way; you can read them in the smartphone app (as I prefer to do), the Mac OS app, or just in your browser from the Amazon site.
From the mega-seller to the micro-fandoms: the 2018 Be The First Challenge collection is now open! BTF is an annual fanfic event in which, like it says on the tin, people challenge themselves to write a story for a canon in which no one has ever posted any fanfic. Have a look at the index post; who knows what obscure delights await you?
