Birthday Events...
okay, so now i'm 23. here is what happened to me for my birthday:
sunday night: red lobster dinner. many friends, much fun, endless shrimp.
monday afternoon: kidnapped, blindfolded, handed a wand and a tiara, and flung into a car with jenn, kristi and sara.
later: arrival at the zoo. met up with david and erin. meandered about the zoo, enjoying the weather and animals.
then: back in the car.
next stop: notre dame. wandered about the campus. saw the HUGE bookstore (2 floors), the basillica, the touchdown jesus, and a few cute boys.
then: back in the car.
next: coldstone creamery for cake and ice cream (no singing). much eating to be had. ordered the birthday cake remix in "like it" size. very good.
you guessed it: back in the car.
followed by: bowling! bowled a 179 (pretty well done for me). joined by adam. called mom at 820pm, 920pm EST to remind her of where she was 23 years ago at that time (having me, in case you couldn't guess). bye bye, erin and david.
back in the car?: back in the car.
eating again?: yup. nick's patio (diner). sheila was our waitress and she sounded just like sheila from a chorus line. had some breakfast food (diners are famous for them, after all), and laughed and talked.
transportation: car.
final stop: movies, to see THE FORGOTTEN. freaky movie, but a lot of fun to see.
all in all, a very enjoyable day. added in were messages and calls and cards of well-wishings and love and it made for a special birthday. who says nobody likes you when you're 23!?
