When I woke up, there was a moment when I was frightened.
Not for myself.
(My! That would be quite ridiculous.)
But the Moon - the Moon moves away from the Earth an inch-and-a-half every year.

Did you -                  
did you know that?

It is slightly terrifying.
And I understand (I do!)
        I understand that nothing will happen for a long time.

Than an inch-and-a-half is a very small amount, but -

Do you remember it  larger,  closer?
(When we were ourselves.)
Was it more beautiful?

Sometimes I find that I am frightened for the Moon.
