Week 3
Prompt 8. Just a dream
Prompt 9. You'll always be mine; always and never

Master Yoketron had been right; the Well of Sparks was exciting. Time lost meaning as Prowl spoke with Primus, met friends that had preceded him into the Well, and continued to learn. Even though he was now a true Cyberninja, he discovered he still had much to learn; so much that even an eternity in the Well wouldn't be long enough to do and see everything. He never felt rushed though and he always felt completely peaceful.

Prowl would sing and dance and meditate. He decided to stay in the simple dojo and continue to learn from Yoketron. He wrote poetry and explored the wonders of the Well. He was content but he couldn't help but feel something was missing.

He would eagerly watch when new sparks arrived in the Well, looking for old friends. Sari arrived first. Her techno-organic form gave her a longer life than humans but much shorter than Cybertronians. She was followed by Ratchet and Arcee. They arrived at nearly the same time, their sparkbond keeping them together. Bulkhead was confused upon his arrival until he learned his spark had separated from his frame due to a transport accident. Eventually, even Optimus arrived. (He had become Magnus?) Prowl welcomed each newcomer and assured them, just as Yoketron had with him, that this was not just a dream.
Still, he wondered when Jazz would arrive. Even after being in the Well for thousands of vorns everything was so interesting that it seemed no time had passed at all. He learned from Optimus that Jazz loved him and wondered what it would be like when they were reunited.

Thousands of vorns passed. Jazz carried on seeming to be quite happy. He worked hard as a Prime and made a point to appreciate every new culture he encountered in his vast travels. He had many friends and always had company although he never shared his berth with anyone.

He was saddened when Sari ceased to function. Her existence had been all too short in his estimation. Next to depart were Ratchet and Arcee. Both of them had been around since the Great War so it wasn't surprising that they were next. Their sparks left their frames at nearly the same time as expected due to their sparkbond. They had shared hundreds of vorns together and Jazz smiled at the thought that their sparks could spend eternity together in the Well. It was a shock when Jazz received a message that there had been a horrific transport accident and Bulkhead had been crushed sending his spark to the Well.

Jazz was a popular and confident Prime but he was secretly glad when he was not named Magnus when Optimus went to the Well. He was greatly saddened by the loss of his friend and confidant. After the memorial service he allowed Bumblebee to keep him company and they spent long joors talking about old friends, exciting adventures, and the amazing existence they had. He eventually excused himself and stood on his balcony looking at the night sky. He reflected on his functioning especially since Prowl's deactivation and decided that he had lived his life to the fullest. He slowly settled himself into a meditative pose and began to softly hum. Yes, he had accepted Prowl's sacrifice and had lived his life in a way that would have made the black and gold mech proud. Despite that, he missed Prowl so much and wondered how much longer it would be before he could tell how he felt. As Jazz continued to mediate, he was filled with a sense of peace. From the moment he first saw Prowl, he knew he would always belong to the sleek and graceful ninja. Always and never.
