I sent this earlier. I was trying to do business with "bestpricecameras.com"
Hi,
My name is Luke Allard and I am writing this email to express my confusion with a conversation I had with an associate at your company. I purchased, this morning, a Sony HDR-SR7, thinking that it would be in stock and readily available, as I spoke with an associate in the morning about the current stock of the aforementioned camera. I called the number provided and spoke with a man named Adam (ext.273) and he took the information to confirm the purchase, and told me I would receive the camera in 2-3 weeks, because, he said, it was on backorder. I called him back and tried to explain what I've been going through to try to get this camera, as yesterday I was told by another company that the camera was in stock when it was on backorder. I asked if there was any way that he could exchange the camera with a comparable model and he said no, and I told him of the other company I had dealt with, not threatening to go to them in any way, rather to tell him that I'm just looking to buy a camera, he promptly told me to call that other company and hung up on me. I then tried to call him back but was unsuccessful from the phone I was using. I used another telephone and did connect with him and asked for his supervisor. He told me he was the supervisor, to which I tried to explain that I was the customer he hung up on. He told me "I canceled your order and your name is now on a list so if you ever try to buy something from here again it'll automatically be out of stock." He then proceeded to tell me to go to that other company and hung up on me.
My question is what, exactly, did I do wrong? I never meant any harm, I was just looking to do business with your company. I am quite distressed by this interaction, especially when your on-hold recordings stress great customer service.
If there is anything that you can do for me, I would greatly appreciate it. My telephone number is (401) 290-8916. Even if there is nothing that you can do, I would still like to speak civilly with a supervisor. I would also like a sale cancellation number for my records.
Thank You,
Luke Allard
how about that.
