Happiness is...
-Friday, I got my conditional acceptance to the new college. I was elated.
-Saturday, Max's acceptance to Alfred University came. I cried! It was the only program she applied for, and their art school is extremely competitive. She does not have the experience that most first year art students have, so I was a bit worried that they would not accept her. But they did. And not because she is a legacy student, being the third generation in our family, to go to school there. They accepted her based on her merits and her portfolio and her personal essay detailing why she is so passionate about art. I cried. I am so very proud of her and excited to watch her grow and develop as she works through her time at AU!
-We decided not to try Bear's Event. I am just getting over sick, Bri wound up quite sick last night, and Dej has been fighting it off, as well. Keagan is into full blown bronchitis, so he's on a round of antibiotics. With his asthma, the doc doesn't take chances; first off, it is hard enough for him to breathe. Second, some os his meds cause a weakened immune system. *sighs* At least he is a good natured sick!
