What's a summer camp without ghosts? This is the RIP WIP ("Rest in peace, works in progress") challenge: Take those fragments of sick!Wilson creations that have been haunting you with their unfinishedness and post them in comments here. Bury them, mourn them, and let them go.

Great idea! I wish we could dump stuff other than Sick!Wilson - I have lots of other stuff I would like to dump ( ... )

Wow. That was quite an unfinished business you got rid of! Unfortunately I either finish stuff or delete them within a couple of weeks. My RL is so cluttered I can't stand any in my fanfic world.

I rarely delete anything (: I have all these old backups on my computer, files everywhere - I really should go through and have a good purge one day...Your way sounds best :)

Not only do I not delete things, I have multiple copies reflecting different versions and changes of title. Every so often I go through my files and get rid of the old title versions, but I still have too many.

This one is pretty much complete. Horribly sad, but very well written. What would you add? I think it's done.

Very, very sad. :( And if House doesn't get his act together on the show this is how it could someday be (hopefully without the pancreatic cancer).

I am with yarroway though, it seems very complete. You could post it as is.

Yeah, I thought the idea was basically complete, I had just originally intended to "flesh it out" a bit more. I abandoned it because it was so depressing. I'm really worried, after reading that RSL did not sign on for the entire season 8 (and TPTB said not to expect a tidy happy series finale someday), that they might kill Wilson off during the season 8 storyline, and then end the series with implications of House's impending suicide. I really hope I'm wrong. I've certainly been wrong before in my far-reaching predictions for this show. Stupid writers. ;D

But, amazingly, on day 7 already they actually landed. Wilson thought he had never been more happy to have solid ground under his feet. Though he was still limping a bit from his accident a few days earlier, he found that he could follow the small expedition that the captain led through the rainforest pretty well. And then there it was. Obviously. Because really, if you find a fountain in the middle of a tropical island, with what looks like the remains of a greek temple scattered around it, and (most importantly) which you can only reach by diving upwards through the roof of a cave... what else should it be than the fountain of youth ( ... )

A PoC cossover! I can see how it got out of hand on you. It happens to me a lot too - you you have a great idea and soon you realize you have started a novel size fic you don't have time for.

Still maybe save it for someday when you want to go with it? I bet there are a lot of fans out there who like both PoC and House. :)

This is the beginnings of a sick!Wilson fic, but I didn't get to the sick part before I stopped writing. I'll post it in two comments ( ... )

House and Wilson exit. Close up on Cuddy's face, angry and resigned…and thoughtful. She picks up the phone as we fade out ( ... )

"Foreman, annoyed: We know he has cancer.

House (writes the word ASSUMPTION on the whiteboard): We know making assumptions makes and ASS (circles word) out of U (circles letter) and U (doubles back to circle letter again). Stick to symptoms, facts, and observations. What do we know?

Foreman, in exact same tone as before: We know he has cancer."

I love your IC banter. This too will be an excellent story. <3
