10: Food Poisoning

"So, I don't know about you, but I'm thinking I want tacos for lunch tomorrow."

"House."

"Burritos. With a lot of cheese...beef, lettuce. Maybe some sour cream."

"House!"

"Or a nice quesadilla."

"Oh for fu-" Wilson cuts himself off and dry heaves into the basin.

House looks at Wilson innocently. "Not Mexican food, then?"

"It's your craving for Mexican that got me food poisoning, you ass. As you well know."

"I didn't force you to eat it. Also, calling me an ass will not make you feel better."

"Oh, don't worry, I have a whole list of insults to try."

"You mean I haven't heard them all?"

Wilson snorts, then groans, putting a hand on his stomach when even that slight movement hurts his overtaxed muscles. House surreptitiously reaches up and straightens the blanket that had dropped to Wilson's waist.

"Well, look on the bright side," House says cheerfully, dropping his hands.

With a weary glance, Wilson answers, "What's that?"

"I paid."

Wilson blinks, then squints his eyes suspiciously. "Will I need to check my credit card balance later?"

"Wilson!" House puts on an affronted expression. "Of course you don't. I have the receipt right here."

You have an evil sense of humor. LMAO. I loved the contrast between House making fun of Wilson (the affronted expression was hilarious) while at the same time showing kindness and care. And of course as we discussed with pgrabia elsewhere, caring!house is the main point of sick!wilson.
