If I’m not mistaken, this event was another first for the Miami area and was held at the aging Dania Jai-Alai sports arena.
rieshal, Han and
darkwolf72 brought a bunch of their games so to get me at no charge; they put my name on one of the pinball games I helped fix up a bit. I had to work the first two days of the event so I could only show up Saturday (1/30/10) and Sunday 1/31/10). According to the info, there were roughly 300 arcade and pinball games set up to be played. They also held a large auction on Saturday with all kinds of machines to bid on.
rrruff also came along with one of his suits to help promote the event to a car and biker meet that was going on across the street on Saturday hehe. A rare pinball that was there was called Haunted House. It is one of only two themed pinball machines ever made to have a small reversed pinball field under the main one, which is viewed threw a piece of plastic (see pic below).

Sunday was a lot quieter when we showed up so I actually had a chance to play a pinball called Cirqus Voltaire. According to what I was told, this is a pretty rare and sought-after game. To me, it was one of the most unique and fun games there to play. Before packing up for the night, Rieshal, SpringStar and I stopped over at Jackson’s Ice cream Parlor/Restaurant for a late lunch. They have some really good food and ice cream, highly recommended if you're ever in the area. While we didn’t order it, this place is home to the original Kitchen Sink ice cream sundae. Overall I fun time going to this expo :). Not sure if they are going to have one at Dania Jai-Alai next year though.
