CHARACTER
Name: Spain (Reino de España or Kingdom of Spain)
Age: 1000+ (as the Kingdom of Spain, he's only around 500 years old, but he's been around far longer than that), but he looks to be around his mid-twenties
Canon: Axis Powers Hetalia
Canon Point: Modern day
History:
Character history and
the country's.
Personality: When you first encounter Spain, you will think that he is a very friendly, happy and optimistic person, which he actually is. He is always very cheerful and would go out of his way to spread that cheer. His warm, welcoming personality makes him a good person to have around when you are feeling down or hopeless. Spain will be there to encourage you and make you smile. He also won't hesitate in giving you comforting hugs and his very own Cheer Up Charm to help make you feel better. There is no question that Spain is also a very affectionate and loving person who would give his all for anyone he counts among his circle of family and friends.
Spain is a man of passion and action. If there is anything that needs to be done, even if it's just as simple or mundane as fixing the kitchen sink, Spain will do it with everything he's got. He believes that there is no point in doing anything if you won't give it your all. At the same time, he is the kind of person who would rush head on into action without much thought, especially if it concerns those precious to him. This passion has helped him become one of the most powerful empires in history, the first empire where the sun never sets.
Bright as the sun and with passion and energy in spades, it can actually be quite surprising how Spain is actually also very laid back and relaxed, almost to the point of being lazy at times. He is one of the Nations who values the old tradition of siesta, the mid-day nap, and he takes the time to practice it whenever he can. He believes that anyone can benefit from a nap in the middle of the day and it seems to work fine enough for him, giving him enough energy to last through the day so he can do all that he needs to do. Plus a round of football or dancing after everything has been finished.
Abilities/Strengths: As a personified Nation, Spain is nearly immortal. He can be killed but he can only really stay dead once his state and people are no more. Wounds and injuries on him are also quick to heal, quicker than a normal human being's. He is also physically strong, stronger than a human and probably stronger than a lot of other Nations.
He is trained in combat and warfare, being a Nation who has a lot of experience with wars and territorial disputes through the centuries. He is a fair tactician but a better fighter. He is mostly proficient in the use of axes, swords and knives. Guns and other firearms are familiar to him and he does know how to use them, though he's really more comfortable with using other weapons. He's also rather skilled at hand-to-hand combat though he's really more comfortable with a weapon in his hands.
Being a seafaring Nation, he is knowledgeable with ships and how they are run. What else can be expected from the Nation where Grande y Felicísima Armada came from? And let's not talk about the subsequent sinking of it by an Englishman who shall not be named, shall we?
Spain's other talents include cooking, dancing and football. Aside from that, he is also good at charming and befriending others, if that can be considered a talent. He's also a very dependable and caring babysitter when the opportunity presents itself.
Weaknesses: Spain, despite how old he is, can actually be rather dense and oblivious at times. He tends to not notice a lot of obvious things (such as when he's being groped by certain perverted Nations...) and that can be very detrimental for him. He also sometimes comes across as insensitive when dealing with people as he tends to "not read the atmosphere" though he does mean well most of the time.
He loves children and would do anything for them. This is a good thing but he has been known to start or get into trouble because of his fondness for them.
Laziness is also one of his weaknesses. He's a hard worker but when he gets into a lazy mood, it's hard to get him moving again.
ARCANARUM
Story:Irish/Icelandic/Scottish folklore
Story Character:
SelkiePlans: He will be able to transform into a seal at will eventually. He will of course become very attached and protective over his seal skin as it helps him transform into this seal form that he will become very, very accustomed to. The sea and bodies of water will have more of a draw for him. Maybe he'll be even more attractive to members of the opposite sex as selkie men are known to be handsome and alluring to human women. Oh, and he should have clothes aside from the seal skin... Or the seal skin turns into some article of clothing which he can then pair of with some other type of clothing. Seal skin pants? Possible. As for the emotional aspect, I think Spain will be struggling with how being a selkie is actually very tempting. He loves his people and he takes being a Nation quite seriously, but he can't deny the freedom and simplicity (and joy) of being a selkie.

First Person:
Baking in Salt with Chibimano over at Dear Mun Third Person:
The pants that he found beside him when he woke up fit perfectly after he put them on. They weren't his, he was sure. He most certainly would be able to remember pants that fit this well and this comfortably, especially given the leathery material of it. The pants were soft and cool and fell down rather well over his legs. They were a good pair of pants, definitely. Spain was never really one for leather pants however he found that these pants were a pair that he'd probably keep if he could. And now that he thought about that, he had a feeling, somehow, that he should keep the pants. Keep them close. Heck, keep them on unless he really had to take them off, like if he were to take a bath. Maybe he shouldn't even then...
Yes, keep the pants.
Which he shouldn't. Really.
Spain shook his head. What was he thinking? And why was he getting so attached to a pair of pants?
Whoever owned the pants, he was thankful for them, yes, but they weren't his. Hopefully he'll find them later so he could return them. For all he knew, some other person was probably wandering around without any pants on and that made the Iberian Nation feel guilty. No one should be without pants, especially if they were as confused and lost as him right now.
He was not really sure where he was. It looked like a normal enough room, but very unfamiliar and that was enough to give him a sense of foreboding. Was he kidnapped? By whom? And why?
Well, he won't get answers by just standing still, this he knew. It was time to do some exploring and hopefully receive some much needed answers. And so, with a determined nod, Spain moved forward, intent on getting down to the bottom of his mysterious abduction.
