Summary: The love and loyalty of one member is about to be tested.
September 16th came and saw Kangin's bad habits run a muck in the news. Months later, in December, Han Geng did not return from China and those papers Leeteuk had seen before were missing, too. And in all the drama, Kibum had disappeared into the background.
The beginning of 2010 came and on an off-day, Leeteuk looked at the last group picture he had ever taken. The last time they had been 13.
The door opened and he looked over the top of the frame, he saw Eunhyuk walk in. “Hey.”
Eunhyuk smiled back. “Hey.”
Leeteuk moved around, placing the picture hidden in his drawer. “I heard a lot of yelling. Were you talking to Heechul?”
Eunhyuk nodded, sitting on the bed. “Yeah.”
“And?”
“He tried to throw a soju bottle at my head.”
Eunhyuk was given a motherly look. “He's just depressed. He doesn't mean any of it.”
“I know. And I'm still gonna try.” Eunhyuk laid down, looking up at his hyung. “But what about you, hyung?” Leeteuk raised an eyebrow. “How are you feeling...about all this?”
Leeteuk sighed, rubbing his foreheads - the wrinkles were forming - as he leaned against the dresser. “I'm...managing. Like the rest of us.”
“Are you really?” Eunhyuk pressed on. “I don't want you to pass out again due to stress.” The joke was dry and Leeteuk did not laugh.
Instead, he fell down on the bed face first. “IknewaboutHankyung.” He muffled into the pillow.
He turned his head to the side. “I knew about Hankyung. Back when you...I walked in on him talking with his lawyer and...I just thought if everything went back to normal, that if your remembered, he would stay. That it would be the end of our problems.”
Eunhyuk sighed. He sat down beside the leader, staring into his eyes. “After...after what happened to me, Donghae said it made all of us stronger. And that's what this is doing to us now. It'll take some time.” Eunhyuk looked away to nowhere, staring into space. “But sooner or later, you can smile again and everything will be better.”
Leeteuk's eyes were wide in surprise. “Eunhyuk-ah...”
Eunhyuk smiled at him. “Jungsu-ah...if I could come back after losing my memory, they'll all come back.”
