Summary: The love and loyalty of one member is about to be tested.

He was surrounded by the men he had sworn never to deal with again. Jungsu was dead asleep beside him. All the stylist chairs were filed with nervous, nervous performers.

And, apparently, he was too. He watched himself approach that Gae Tan fellow. “Hyung,” he said, “you think...you think you could talk to Heechul-hyung?”

Gae Tan's face blanched. He looked with the dancer and they both looked at the diva. The diva that though everyone was in muted pastels and black and white, was wearing bright red pants.

“It's...original, Eunhyuk.” The elder man wouldn't look him in the eyes.

He felt confident - he was supposed to be working just as hard as they all were. He couldn't just screw up just like this. “Hyung.” He said again, “Can you please go and talk to him.” His voice, for once, was with no room for complaints.

Gae Tan sighed. “If I make Heechul change clothes, I don't think we'll ever see you again in our lives.” He murmured, but the old man was standing and walking across the room.

The scene faded away and suddenly, Heechul-hyungnim was staring him in the face. His face was beat red, embarrassed in the close proximity. And apparently, Heechul was not going to look him in the eye either.

He was beginning to speak. “Hyung, that time on a music show, when only you wore different pants, everyone was wearing black pants, but you wore red pants.”

Heechul nodded. “You complained to manager-hyung, didn't you?”

“Yes.” He nodded back. “For complaining to manager-hyung and making you change pants...”

“In the end, I wouldn't change.” His hyung laughed and they were hugging. And a burst of warmth was in his heart.

“I'm sorry, hyung. Hyung, wear whatever you want from now on.” He said from his side of the hug.

Heechul pulled away and sat up half-way. He went back to fiddling with his hands and looking elsewhere when he spoke. “Because you complained to manager-hyung, I got really angry at you and I wore what I wanted to wear. Did you cry then also? I'm sorry.” And Heechul was hugging him again. And in his ear, he hears his hyung say, “I want to see only smiles on your face.”

Hyukjae opened his eyes. A light - sunlight - was shining in his eyes. Sitting up, the dream - memory - faded away like a shoreline.

It seemed unreal - the kindest in Heechul-hyungnim's voice. The love in his hug. It wasn't like the Kim Heechul he'd trained with.

The gentle Kim Heechul that refused to tell him bad news and accepted his apology with a smile. Friends that came to visit him and explain what he didn't remember.

He swiveled to put his feet on the floor. But this situation...these people...they stayed. They stayed while his best friend left. He stayed - because of Super Junior. Because of these 12 other guys that he didn't really know.

He looked back and forth. He couldn't grab onto his own mind. It had been one day - one day - since he broke away from Super Junior and he was already in the middle of regretting it.
