well well well...
well i had my college placement testing this morning. for those that didnt know, im transferring my credits from UMass Lowell to Middlesex CC so that I can at least get my associate's degree.
well after i finished, the lady just looked at my scores and said..."wow these are very good scores"...
and im thinking to myself. of course they are very good scores:
#1. i graduated 3rd in my class.
#2. i was being tested on reading, writing, and arithmetic.
#3. the test was easy.
maybe she was just not used to having an english speaking american citizen taking the placement test. because 1/2 the other people in the room could barely string together a simple sentence.
then there was 1 girl that i just wanted to laugh at. she was taking the reading and writing portion of the test and when she got her scores, I could see the disappointed look in her face. she kept saying how the scores must be wrong or something, because she was going to be a creative writer, or a journalist. she said how reading and writing were her biggest strengths.
well obviously not if you got extremely low scores. i wont criticize you for having a dream for a future. but if you want that dream to become a reality, quit whining about the stupid scores and sign up for some more english literature and composition classes and your "skills" will improve.
well thats it for now, i have to drive back to MCC for their stupid orientation thing.
