So I sort of disappeared there. Partly cause of spoon loss, but partly cause we didn't really think about setting up internet access at the new place. & we sort of fudged it for a couple days by using elsmi's phone as a router, but this didn't work too well on my end. Also he sort of needs his phone when he goes into campus etc.

But, yeah, we now have bed linens, towels, a kettle, and internets. And chocolate. I'm set.

I like that as a set of baselines.

Minimum we could find, though we still have to fight the mildew. I was expecting that given the climate. And the fact that, last time I lived here, I was sick a lot despite trying to keep my environment dust and smoke free (I didn't know about the mildew issue then).

Mobile wifi? We have one of those: a little thing about the size of 5 business cards stacked together that brings us the internet when we're in the US, staying in a house with no phone, other internet or cable TV. And it's got a rechargeable battery that lasts a very long time - walk around with it in your pocket and you feel like Hafidha Gates.

Oh, right. I think there's two kinds: the kind that plugs into a computer (which I think you have) and the kind that makes a WiFi hot spot around it. Either way, I agree it's magic.
