Apparently the place we saw, a few days ago, had had cats living there recently. (The lady who showed it initially thought not for over a year, or I wouldn't even have gone inside.)
So, I didn't notice, consciously, though I was actively checking for trouble. It seemed fine. The place overall was the best option we'd found, in fact.
But I've been sick (really wheezy, headfuzzy, eyes itching, insomniac, and tired) for three days now, and, well. This is how my cat allergy manifests. Whee.
So, y'know, continued splat here (I know, that's every post I make isn't it). The spoons, they don't exist.
