So as you all know I've become a corporate vampire (ie. working at night) and lately my sleeping pattern has been well and truly screwed.
For two weeks I was up from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. for training. I've had sleeping problems before (mostly my brain running on crack) which I've managed to overcome, but for the last few days that my sleeping hours have become erratic, my body has finally started showing signs of epic duress.
Vampire life woe #1: Confusing dreams with reality.
Never thought that would happen, but my everyday thoughts become dreams in my shallow sleep state that it takes me a while to realize that no, I did not screw up my work or social life. That was just a dream. Calm yo tits.
Vampire life woe #2: Disturbing physical sensations.
I wish this was more of the sensual sort, but no. For several occasions now when I finally do drift off to sleep, my body does something to jolt me back to waking up. The other day I thought I saw/felt a flash of light enter through my face and inside my body. Twice I felt like the room was moving while my body felt dull and almost immobile. Someone jokingly said it was the start of 'sleep death' (bangungot). Thanks, guise.
Vampire life woe #3: Oh, I guess that's it.
Well according to my nurse friend my anemia has probably aggravated the situation. She says I should take more vitamin B or eat an egg or something. Oh well.
On another note, I had a great time with
chromesynth yesterday talking about writing over coffee/cheesy fries. Oh, to be a writer. Just when we're all struggling to get some attention, shit crap toilet paper material stuff like Twilight or 50 Shades get published. /wrist
I recently decided to make my own online writing portfolio
here. Ch-ch-check it out, yo.
Well, I guess that's it.
Oh, and hi.
