I'm a third-year Finance major. One little problem. I've never taken a Finance class.
My adviser advised that I take a Finance class. One little problem. I've never taken the prereq: Introductory Statistics.
I've taken my math sequence up to Business Calc, but never bothered with statistics. At Narbonne, I took Pre-Calc instead of AP Stat. I didn't think the class was anything too time consuming, but I didn't think it would be a walk in the park; I just maneuvered my way around the class.
Today we took Exam I for my Statistics class. During my exam, I came to the realization that I was taking 'Stupid-Girl-Math.' The term came to be when we would walk the halls at Marymount and peek into the classrooms. There was always that one classroom that was just filled with great looking girls. It was a mirage of sorts. It was hard to believe that all of these beautiful girls could somehow assemble themselves into one room. One day, I asked a friend what class they were all taking. To which he responded, "Oh, that's stupid-girl-math."
