This weekend was a whirlwind of activity and it isn't even over yet.
Friday morning I got a call from American Eagle and they offered me the job. I said yes, of course. I asked if I needed to take out my lip ring and Ashley, the assistant manager who I interviewed with, said that it wasn't noticeable when she interviewed me so that I could keep it in; I will take a clear retainer with me just incase Jimmy, the general manager, would like me to take it out. They also told me that they would offer to pay me the same that I made at Osterman's- $8.25 an hour-holla'. I start (tomorrow) Sunday morning at 11:00 A.M.
My aunt Jenni also called me on Friday to ask if I was available to go out to dinner with her and my uncle; duh..? They live in Toledo so it's like a majestic treat when they come into town. Not to mention, my aunt is a journalist with white hair and one lavender stripe in her sweeping bangs (she and her husband epitomize the lovely, older indie couple).
Friday around 7:00 P.M. Gina and Taylor arrived in Cincinnati; my heart fluttered and my spirit soared as we hugged at least 23,320,194,953 times (sprinkle a little cheese on that for me, please-the flavor is up to the readers digression). We all walked back to Daniel's and I introduced them to anyone and everyone that I saw that I knew- I may have actually introduced them to a few people that I had never met before.
Alyssa wanted to attend the psychic fair that Friday Night Live was hosting in TUC so the four of us went over there where we saw Drew working at the movie theater. Unfortunately, the psychics were all booked so we met up with Bridget, Alyssa's best friend from high school, and we gave Taylor and Gina the grand tour of campus. Somewhere around CCM we bumped into Josh and Dan and we decided to feed everyone at Stadium View where Taylor and Gina experienced first class UC dining. :] After the haute cuisine Bridget, Alyssa, Gina, Taylor, and I came back to 604 and got all dolled up for a night out (which included 30,000 outfit changes and me doing everyone’s makeup). Andrew called me and I invited him down to the room and then invited him out with us; he, of course, came along.
First, Annie, Sofia, Bri, Marissa, Gina, Taylor, Andrew and I went to Michael's house for a party that they were having. On the way to the party, I won't lie; I had a little trouble walking (I do not drink so there was nothing in my system to alter my coordination except for sheer imbecility). We hung out, danced, talked, and had an all around fun time at the first house. Andrew asked me what I was going to write on the get well card for Britney [Spears] so he and I went to write her loving messages offering solace and a shoulder to cry on-perhaps some shears if she needs to trim her hair again. After a little while, Gina, Taylor, Bri, and I went to the Jewish frat because Melinda and Alyssa were there...we wanted to unite 604 since I very seldom go out. There was a whole lot of nothing exciting going on there- even though I did get a grand welcome upon my arrival- so we decided to go back to the first house and we even brought a few extras with us. The rest of the night was a success in terms of hanging out and bonding even if Gina did throw up once. Andrew sat next to me on the stairs to the porch and we talked about leaving because it was far, far, far past out bedtimes. After I nearly fell asleep on his shoulder I decided to round up the troops so we could make our way back to Daniel's. I again had trouble walking back because I was tired beyond description and I kept plowing into Andrew: it's a good thing that he is a good sport. Gina, Taylor, Andrew, and I parted ways once the elevator reached the 6th floor. Andrew declined an invitation to watch Me and You and Everyone We Know because he was falling asleep between text messages so Gina, Taylor, and I attempted to watch it on our own; we got about 2 minutes into it before we decided we should turn it off and turn in.
Gina, Taylor, Alyssa, and I went to Tri-County Mall today to get my camera from my dad and I ended up spending $26 on new, cute, cute, cute underwear from Victoria's Secret. We came back to Daniel's where they packed up their belongings and unfortunately they hit 71 north as my spirits came crashing down. It is safe to say that every one of my friends that they met loves them almost as much as I do. Gina and Taylor plan to visit again in May which makes me very happy.
I need to take a shower so that I can be so fresh, so fresh, so clean, so clean tomorrow for my first day of work. I practiced folding some shirts tonight so that I could be on top of my game.
I am so happy. :]
