Continuum - I have seen it

Got it delivered late this afternoon and viewed it almost immediately.

Overall, I thought it was a really fun romp. Yes, there was plenty of angst too, but it just felt like an old-school SG-1 action-adventure ep.

However, while I thought the matte painting of the Tok'ra planet looked great and very cool? Putting SG-1 in front of it with the DHD? Some of the *worst* green-screen work I've seen in a really long time. WTF was up with that? While I thought the rest of the effects were really pretty excellent, that one shot was so bad it was jarring. I think it just about gave me a brain cramp. Hell, maybe it looks better in Hi-Def than on my regular ole Low-Def TV.

I thought that scene where they were all being interrogated at once was really well done. When it ended with Daniel saying, "Who would (could?) make this shit up?" I thought it was just really amusing and very Daniel.

Anyway, I got pretty much what I wanted out of the movie. Great action. A bit of lovely angst. Yes, I *do* happen to love the reset button, where we can put our heroes through stuff and even maim them without actually making it stick and really changing anything.

SG-1 doesn't need to *be* anything more than themselves for me. I don't really hold many expectations for them as a team, so I think I'm pretty hard to disappoint. And you can never go wrong with lots of action and explosions :)

Also, I have an interview with another recruiter tomorrow. Please cross your fingers that I get another chance and that I don't fuck it up.

Okay, I'd better turn the TV down before my neighbors complain!
