Preciousssss

My most recent object de lust arrived yesterday evening. Some assembly was required, the directions were... scanty and unhelpful. Fortunately, my previous experience with real rifles and Weaver rings saw me in good stead and I got it all put together.

And it truly is a toy. Not precisely precision optics, but it looks cool as can be!

Here it is with the flash suppressor/silencer attached.

It supposedly will fire 400 small plastic BBs a minute, but honestly, when I tried it in the back yard, there were a lot of misfires in continuous fire mode. It's a little better if you're angling the gun upwards, because if you're pointing it at the ground, the BBs all roll to the wrong end of the magazine.

The questionable directions said it held 68 BBs, but it actually holds, well, probably hundreds, since it's not one of the magazines that has the fake ammo in it. Hey, it's a $30 toy.

The absolute *best* part of the (poorly translated from Chinese) instructions was section #2, labeled, "Solution diagram elucidation". The box below the diagram (which didn't elucidate much) said, "When the gun tube stem, use the plastics stick stop the thing pure drop." W.T.F.
Actually, it's referring to poking the included plastic rod down the barrel to unstick stuck BBs. At least that's what I think it was talking about, even though my stick looks different from the one in the picture. Close enough.

It really is fun to go out in the back yard and shoot at stuff (Um, non-living stuff). I'm easily entertained :)
