Herrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeees Johnny!
Yeah its been like two weeks since Ive bothered to look at livejournal. I shall now entertain you with somthing recent thats happened to me.
This is a picture from the Toys R Us holiday parade on Saturday, November 8th. I got to ride my bike in the parade.
This guy I know from Texas called me up one day when I was in the middle of somthing, and said he needed more people to ride in the parade with him, so I said okay. I didnt really know anything about it though. All I knew was I would get payed $250 for an easy day of work. More like 15 minutes total of riding my bike.
So I had to be at times square at 5am, it was pointless to sleep because I normally sleep around 1 or 2am. I got there at 5am, it was still dark out, and there was nobody out, except for all the parade people. We practiced a little bit, and found out what was gonna happen, and what we had to do.
We waited around till about 9am when the parade started, freezin our balls off for half of that time. Then we got in line for the parade. Spongebob was right behind us, gettin a ride in his car/boat pimp mobile!
We didnt really have to do much but ride our bikes around, and do a few tricks here and there. Then at the end of the parade, every special group, or character that was in the parade did a show that was about a minute long, on a big blue carpet, in the middle of times square, infront of like a thousand people. So when we finally got there, we rode around on the carpet for a minute and that was it.
The $250 was good compensation for having to wear a gay ass helmet, and a mongoose bicycle stunt team jersey. But the smiles on my buddies faces, the kids faces, and my face were worth more than that $250.
