America rested his head on the table, trying to bury himself deeper under the kotatsu table to get as much warmth as he could. His legs bumped against Japan's and he made a point to sprawl his longer legs over them to see how Japan would react. A small, soft smile came across Japan's face at the light touch and America couldn't help but grin back. Japan even kicked him back under the table which made America's grin widen. Japan pointedly didn't look at him and continued to watch the television. America had been interested at first when they were using words he could half-understand, but now that it had switched to the news he could only catch every few words. Besides, he had never really liked watching the news.
He leaned back, flopping on the cushion and drifted off, his legs still entangled with Japan's. He felt extremely comfortable here, Japan's small apartment in Tokyo was becoming something of second home to him. Japan gently shaking his shoulder woke him up. The lights had been turned down and it was obviously much later than when he fell asleep. "How long are you going to stay wrapped up down there, America?" he asked as he sat down beside him.
America grabbed him around the middle, causing the older nation to flail a little in surprise. America pulled him beside him. "Right now I'm thinking infinity sounds good."
"That is an impossible length of time for you to spend in my home."
"Let's try anyway."
"It would be more comfortable on the futon."
"Alright fine..." he released him and followed him sleepily, just to curl up beside him again.
