I really enjoyed this - the description of their actions/speech almost makes the pub come alive. (I guess it probably helped that you were in one while writing this! :P)

Also, I just looked up "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling" and listened to it - it's nice background music. :)

And America and Ireland really do have a lot of history together, so it's interesting to see that explored as well.

Thanks! Being Irish-American and my family being really involved in the Irish community here in Colorado made me get my head stuck on how Ireland and America would feel about each other. There really is so much history there that I would really like to learn more about (since I only know the really famous stories, and then my family's personal history and a few of the other folk around here).
