Summary: Modern Day. America buys too many presents...
A/N: This one kind of flopped... ><;;
"Really, America? Didn't we just buy one of these two stores ago?" Canada asked, sighing.
"That one was green. This one is blue!" America replied, "It'll be a great stocking stuffer for someone."
"You're not even buying it with someone in mind? Shouldn't you be thinking about that?"
"You never know when you need backup presents!"
"You already have a full closet!"
"It's on sale! It's a good deal!"
Canada grumbled under his breath, fairly certain this shopping trip was never going to end. It went on until the rather large stack of ads had been gone through, and the stores visited. Canada barely had any room in the car on the way back due to the bags and boxes that were filling every available space. He'd had a feeling that the trip to Costco last was going to be a bad idea.
It took almost an hour to unload everything and soon America was in the middle of the living room, sorting it into stacks. Canada's stomach rumbled so he headed into the kitchen to make something to eat. After he finished eating he began to warm up some hot water with the intent of making some hot chocolate.
He came out into the living room with the two mugs. America knocked over one of the stacks in his attempt to hide something. Canada raised an eyebrow suspiciously. He had stopped paying attention to what America put in the cart after store number five, so now he was kind of curious about what it was the other man didn't want him to see.
"I mad some hot chocolate."
"Thanks!" America replied, smiling at him, one hand still pushing whatever it was out of sight. He reached for the cup and Canada handed it to him.
"So, what're you hiding?"
"You'll find out on Christmas!" America replied, a too innocent grin on his face.
"No hints?"
"No hints, but I think you're gonna like it!"
"Can one of my gifts be no more shopping?"
"Not a chance."
"Then you're buying me dinner after from now on."
"Deal."
They shook on it and America went back to sorting his piles, being sure to steer clear of the stack that had Canada's present. Canada sipped his hot chocolate and tried to think of what it might be.
