Fairfield revisited
I had a subpoena to go to Fairfield Courthouse at 10:30AM for a VOP hearing.. . I guess I deserve that since I was chuckling over his funny name! I was tired because I was up in the bay area all weekend! So more driving for me~ :( Fairfield is around 45 miles from Sacramento so its about an hour drive. Little did I know that there was going to be a big traffic jam due to an accident near there!! I then got confused on which courthouse building I need to go to. In the end, I was 15 minutes late.. . and was so worried that the case is already over!!
There were some prisoners brought in for a couple of hearings, as well as a bunch of teens. The prisoners wore thick faded black and white horizontal striped top and pants. They were also chained and handcuffed with their hands together behind their back, so when they walk, I hear the clinking sounds of the chains!. When they finally got to my case, .. well it was quite unclimatic because the defendant didn't appear!! >_< They sent out a bench warrant for him! All that driving for nothing!!! So, I'll probably get another subpoena later on.. sigh. So like usual, afterwards, I took some more photos near the courthouse. I realize that there is a cool looking castle like tower structure next to what I think is the Civic Center on W. Texas Ave x Union Ave. I only noticed while I was driving, so next time, I might go check it out.
I was getting mighty sleepy in the courtroom though.. . all that law talk such as section code blah blah etc lulls me to sleep.. =_= I was also sleepy driving back to work, and was quite unproductive today because I was nodding off checking my data on the computer. Its dangerous because my boss was working right behind me!! hahah..
