Still Alive...
Yes, I'm still alive! It's been a while since my last update, sorries... >.< I've been sick recently (fever of around 100, headache, sore throat, dizziness... it sucked), but i'm feeling better tonight. I made myself soup! Thats right. MADE. I made soup from scratch and was SO impressed with myself. I had lettace, potatoes, rice... SO good ;D
Anyhow, not a whole lot going on for me here. Golden week was last week (for those who dont know what golden week is, its basically a string of holidays where people dont have work/classes and go on some sort of vacation). I went to my friend Naho's house to spend the few days with her family and (5) little cousins. They were the cutest kids EVER and they loved me haha The youngest, a 3 yrold named Rin-chan, loved me and held my hand everytime we went outside XD omg I want kids so bad haha (dont hit me, bridget..)
So i've been thinking a lot about my future... especially about what I'm going to do after I graduate from BG next year. I was contemplating going on the Jet program, but realized that I want to actually teach. Not to take anything away from ALT's, but they really don't teach anything. It's more like.. "*opens book* repeat after me and my native self", ya know? And there really isn't much freedom to teach with your own style... I want to actually teach something, not just act like some living and breathing voice recorder.. So I think after I graduate from BG I'm going to try for graduate school at OSU for Japanese pedagogy (did I spell that right??). After I have my masters, I can either go to Japan with some real credentials under my belt, or choose to try my hand at teaching at a university state-side if the opportunity reveals itself. I want to TEACH, not RECITE. So I think the Jet program is not the right path for me.
SOOOOOO I watched the latest Last Friends tonight with Naho and Naomi. GOD DAMNIT MICHIRU... you piss me off! And I have to say, after watching the preview for the next episode, next week's episode doesn't seem all that interesting ^^;; But I shall watch it anyway, because I am addicted. <3
