dust town - Keremeos, B. C.

Apple picking in a cowboy town.. for a full week I couldn't see the sky: thick smoke hung in the air like fog. Only the red sun and that full, harvest moon shone through the haze. Yesterday as the sun came up and the raging winds died out, the ghost mountains sharpened against the sky and it was blue once more.

I feel like I'm living a hundred years ago, back in ranching times. I roast fresh picked corn on a fire by the creek where I'm camped out, boil my tea and live out in the sun and dust.

I love eating everything fresh picked- I'm hungry, and I just pick an apple off the tree, or a peach from next door, or veggies and delicious garlic from the road stand.

I'm getting tired of living on the road, out of a tent though.. it's been just over two months now, and everything is filthy (especially me!)

Anyway, I'm coming through Thunder Bay on September 20th and I hope to see many of you then!
