Funny little useless tid bit that made me lawl. I'm writing this review, watching clips of the concert to get the feeling back again, but while I am, I'm also watching Enchanted. It's a very strange combination of heavy metal and disney love songs. I like it. >D
Alrighty. It's Sunday night, and sadly I haven't gotten my copy of the DVD yet... i think it tried to come on Friday, but I wasn't home and with the crazy blizzard we had on Saturday i couldn't get to the post office to pick it up. I'll be doing that tomorrow. Either its the DVD or it's something else xD either way I'll be happy to get it. However, in the mean time, Skye was super awesome and uploaded all the songs to youtube for me so I could watch them. You're the best dude!!!!
A few days after I started getting super excited about the DVD's release, my manager Vix at work asked me what kind of venues the GazettE plays at, if they play at little clubs or big venues. Ehh, I wasn't really sure of the concerts before the final, but she was a little stunned when I told her the concert sold 16000 tickets I think it was o_O So I wiki'ed Saitama. Apparently it's the only venue in Japan that can hold a whole American football game. The stage is HUGE and there was SO many people at this concert. It's really awesome to watch everyone headbanging in sync with one another.
Anyway, onto the individual songs.
「剥離」[Hakuri]
I really like how they opened with this one, especially the lights pulsing with the music before going dark again. Personally though, I don't think any live opening will ever be as cool as The End for Nameless Liberty Six Guns, I got chills when I first saw that concert.
The Invisible Wall
This song is absolutely amazing live. While it flowed with Hakuri just as amazing as it was on DIM, I don't really like it as the first song of the concert. All their other first songs have been hard and fast, or both, but this one was soft and there was very little movement in the crowd. Even still, Ruki looked and sounded amazing. I was very impressed by how well he sounded, considering he was very sick just a few days before. When I first read the live reports they were talking about the screens (which ruki later said in an interview that they were LED lights. go energy saving!!), people talked about how they were distracting at times. I guess I can see why if you were there, but I think they add a nice touch to the whole 'Dim' vibe of the concert.
In all the photoshoots I never really liked Kai's dread lock hair. I guess I just needed to see it in motion D: lol I think it looks really badass and cool, I wish he'd left it like that longer so I could enjoy it more haha xD I think it's really cool how they did this concert. RCE was amazing, but there was just too much light show for me. I want to enjoy the music, but I also want to see the boys too. With the screens you could still see them and there was of course some light work, but not as much as the other concerts.
OMFG and AOI. Damn you boy you're not wearing enough shirt to call that a shirt just take the damn thing off and stop teasing us D: I like that Aoi and Uruha's hair is a lot floofier then it normally is. They looked like they were having fun flinging it around xD It was also nice to see how excited they were to play, even this early on. They always seem so tired and bored in their comments, but I think it's just cause they don't like giving comments. Though seriously, how many people on my friends list will willingly sit in front of a camera and talk about pretty much nothing. :\ I don't think even I would and you know how much I love to talk.
LEECH
UNFEHFGYEG <3 Before the great ipod disaster, Leech was my most listened to song on my ipod. I love it so much~~ The Peace and Smile Carnival earlier this year was awesome and I've just recently started listening to the audio for the GazeRock Festival (I had it but never got the chance to really listen to it). One thing I love about this particular performance of it, is you imediately can tell it's a favorite, not just with the fans, but with the guys too. Aoi immediately starts srs headbanging and there was definitely some chest viewing awesome there seriously guy just take it off At GazeRock, Ruki started Leech off with his yell/scream and added with the firework action just made it more intense. He didn't really scream he just did that throaty growl thing so boo ): But hair is flying in the audience as people are getting super into it and yay yay yay! Kai smile! 8D CLEARLY our fearless leader is enjoying himself greatly <3 <3 I missed his smile. One thing that always makes me giggle is how much ruki moves on stage in the beginning of concerts without actually going anywhere. During the pauses between lyrics, he just paces in a circle before returning to his stand. Makes me want to go 'wtf was the point of that, you're just gonna go right back to where you were before'.
And I noticed his pants later after the first encore, but during Leech you can really see them, but I like Uruha's pants. Did he have those in their photoshoots with these outfits? I guess they were toned down like they always are sure you gazefans remember the neon green pants Whatever they are I like them xD Speaking of clothes, I dunno if I like Ruki in this button down + vest thing. I mean eeh... i always think he looks a little TOO skinny usually, but this outfit makes him look kinda chubby xD Though it might just be the style of clothes and the fact that he was sick. Oh well.
Again, the LED lights are a really cool touch.
Hyena
I can never decide if this song is one of my favs or one of my so-sos to listen to, but it looks like it'd be a lot of fun to experience live lol xD Hm, i can't tell if this is a new thing, or if they've done this for concerts before and I just never noticed, but Reita did Ruki's yell at the beginning of Hyena... o_O not that I really need ANOTHER reason to watch the other lives AGAIN, but I never noticed Reita doing the yell before?
Now that it's clear and obvious that the concerts going smoothly (I'm sure it's totally nerve wrecking for them the first couple songs), they're starting to play around a little more. Uruha looks like a little kid bouncing around on the stage, dancing with his guitar and stuff as he's throwing his hair everywhere. I really like short hair on him, though it looks rather yellow instead of blond like it normally does. Reita... pretty much stays the same during the concert till he comes out for the encore. I think he tries to keep still in his place until he's got the rhythm of the concert down so he doesn't screw up with the bass. The GazettE is one of the few bands where I can actually HEAR the bass really well which I think is pretty cool cause Reita's talked about in interviews how when he first started playing bass it bothered him that he couldn't really hear the bass in other bands, so I think it's cool that he found a way to make it stand out.
One of my favorite things about this song is that Kai looks like this no matter where they play it-> 8D!!!!
Hyena is also the beginning of fanservice too. Not a lot, but Ruki 'slices' Uruhas throat as Uruha leans all snuggly on Ruki XD
Distress and Coma
For having Leech and Hyena so hard to drop down to something so soft was kinda startling, but it dropped the mood back down to the Dim again really fast. And eeee I love hearing them speak english, even it's their own song names and after the long pause of silence Ruki walks back to his spot and murmurs something in japanese to the crowd then says "distress and coma" a lot clearer then some *may have total giggle fits when he says some of the other song names* I really like the light blue lighting at the beginning... lol I wonder too if Ruki's not use to his head being shaved or his ear monitor is falling out cause form this point on his hand goes up to the side of his head at least twice every song xD
Distress and Coma is one of the songs that makes me fall in love with Ruki's voice. Some people i know irl don't like the japanese accent in songs; like my friend-I'm-not-really-supposed-to-be-friends-with Jason, he likes how they sound for metal bands (he's not a metal fan), but doesn't like when they 'sing'. Songs where the majority of the words are screamed are okay for him, but he doesn't like the singing part. I loooove Ruki's accent. And his singing voice is just so omfg *____* kills me every time. I also like the matrixy green water falling in the back ground of the LED. Seriously HUGE love on the LED screens. And the fan blowing Uruha's hair during his solo was very herbal essence~
白き憂鬱 Shiroki Yuuutsu
Honestly, I really don't like this song. A lot of people on the forums I follow flail over this song so much, but it's just too... light for me? I dunno. I thought maybe I'd like it more if I saw it live, but I dunno. Ruki is quite a showman during the song though. Whenever I've been on stage to sing or whatever, i never really know what to do with my hands. Ruki does everything with his hands xD Aoi's strumming on his acoustic is mmmm <3 <3 <3 I do love acoustic guitars. I don't like the scenes in the LED things this time... they're rather creepy lol xD but fitting for the song.
Aoi also has a new guitar for this song, I'm not sure the model, Hanan would probably know. Its pretty, but not as cool as his usual model.
「エリカ」[Erica]
gyah creepy distorted person in the LED screens *covers eyes!!!!*... *peeks* the person in the image looks kinda like the sketch that was the cover of the DVD, same kind of malnourished and depressed that goes along with DIM SCENE.
And of course, following Erica is my absolute favorite GazettE song so far:
13Stairs[-]1
I cant really begin to describe how much I love this song. If you look at my favorites the songs on the ipod, you'll see I love love love songs that combine heavy metal and soft melodies. Bands like Nightwish that have a slight opera like tone that goes with the metal, or Lacuna Coil. 13stairs is a perfect example of it. It seems like something you'd dance to in that slow erotic kind of way you see Akasha dancing in the Admiral's Arms scene in Queen of the Damned. I was super excited to hear it live and the boys didn't disappoint. I REALLY like how Ruki started the song off with counting again with english!! yay! it adds a cool touch to the opening of the song, making you feel like something awesome was about to happen. Kinda like when they gather at Kai's drums to do Nausea and Shudder. The new angle of camera on kai's drums adds a nice effect too as the lights shine green on ruki as he keeps counting. As he gets to '8' the guitars pick up and Aoi and Uruha start throwing themselves around to the music, but Ruki doesn't move until he gets to 13 and the really heavy stuff starts.
In the CD version, Ruki's voice is whispering and haunting, but the live unf *___* his voice is all deep and throaty and DOES SEXY EVEN DESCRIBE IT CORRECTLY!??!?! I love the tone it gives the song and aaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!!! when ruki starts the 'oooooOOOOOooooo' part *___* I could melt in a puddle on the floor. It's beautiful on the CD but CHILLING live. Ruki's voice aaaah I can't say it enough it's SO amazing. Usually he sounds like he's not really like... throwing his all into his voice as many singers do, but he really BELTS these vocals out and it's the most amazing thing ever!!!!
Side note: the lighting illuminates his crotch quite nicely here
God i've written all this and I really haven't even gotten passed the first minute and a half of the song D:
Then the super heavy stuff starts and CRAZY HEADBANGING TIME omfg I love this song hehehe <33333
....
Lets take a moment to examine the fans at this point because this is when the really awesome crazy fans start doing their thing. I'm not talking about the in sync hand motions, I'm talking about the styles of headbanging. Later when I get to the songs I'll talk about them as they come, but this is when you start to see some fans holding hands and headbanging, or throwing themselves on the floor to go at it on their hands and knees. I've never really seen anyone headbang on their hands and knees before i watched GazettE concerts. Try it some time it's actually a lot of fun xDDD
Headache Man
As the beginning of Headache man starts, Reita changes bass as Ruki yells out to the crowd. I don't really like the name 'Saitama' xD it doesnt sound as intense as when he yelled 'Yokohama' 'budokan' and 'yoyogi', but still Ruki yells out 'saitama!!!' as the whiiiiiiine of the guitars begin for Headache Man.
In this song we see Ruki's new style of er... headbanging o_O his trademark headbanging has always been to swing his head in a windmill circle that looks pretty cool, but in Headache Man, what he does is sort of... o_O have a seizure standing straight. I'm not sure what to make of it and was a little concerned until i realized he was doing it on purpose. He also does this kinda cool little jerky dance thing right before he starts singing xD which i like. Before the lyrics to the song came out, there were a lot of 'I hear' things for this song, especially since the entire song, except one line, is in english and we all know how awesome ruki's english is e_e This one person made a video that had Skye and me rolling for a long time. The lyrics are 'you're a romancer', but it could be misheard as 'you're a roman sir' and various others. And there's the DUUUUUUUR xDDDDD but the durrr part was toned down and prerecorded instead of one of the other members doing it while Ruki yelled the 'You're a romancer'. The others look too busy throwing themselves around the stage head banging lol.
OMG BUT I LOVE THE ENDING XDDD RUKI GIGGLES OMG it was so epicly cute and insane sounding xD
Without A Trace
Again with the taking us up to the extreme intensity and dropping us back down. If I was at the concert I think my body would go into shock from the sudden stopping. In the last few concerts the crowd has been really good with dropping into the serene silence between songs when you know something is going to happen, there was a pause like this before the song started, but there was like one or two people who kept screaming xD I wanted be like SHUSH!! as the lights slowly came on and you see Uruha standing by an acoustic guitar.
Without a trace is one of the sadder GazettE songs I think. I like that Aoi is using a pick while Uruha is playing the same thing but without. It gives it a sharp but muted tone to the song. Ruki's voice sounds so sad when he's singing this, but in that reserved tone like he's tryign to shut himself off from the sad. He's also singing with his eyes closed which makes the song seem very touching and personal in a way. I like it a lot. And Kai singing to himself while playing the drums is cool too. Especially since he has uber serious drummer face on so it looks like he's really upset xD
When they guys were picking songs, Aoi said in an interview that he didn't want to use this song because it would be extremely hard to play live. D: lol you can see this watching it live because both Aoi and Uruha have to jump from acoustic to electric several times back and forth in the song. They did a really good job of it. There's no LED screens in this song. The whole arena is pitch black except for the few pale blue lights that illuminate the boys and circle slowly (like during The End at Budokan) and these swirly lights on the crowd in the arena from the ceiling must have been cool to see from the stands.
「感触」[Kanshoku]
Theres a respective applause after Without a trace ends, the LED screens come back on very blindingly white with numbers on them that change too quickly to see what they were. The guys switch out their instruments again as the crowd begins to clap in unison to the music. There's several shots of the crowd here and you really see just how HUGE this arena is. Like seriously I don't think I've ever seen that many people in one place. As the music starts to fade so does the clapping. I dunno if it's just the audio of the DVD (like they made the sound fade for effect) or the crowd was just so intense that everyone was in sync with one another, but it was cool. Everything goes silent as Ruki walks up to his stand again and leans on it with a blue light shining up at his face.
泣ヶ原 Nakigahara
As the music starts, the whole stage goes red, except for that blue light on Ruki's face which makes the whole thing look cool. Have I mentioned yet that I love Ruki's voice? Cause I do and it's amazing *_____* Like Shiroki, I dont reeeally like this song. Its one of the songs I listen to when I'm trying to go to sleep, but I'm personally a bigger fan of the heavier songs. Ruki's voice and stage performance is really all I can think of to say for this song sadly... It's really long D: and I get kinda bored listening to it all the way through and had to make myself not skip ahead to the end cause I didn't want to miss anything. It really is a beautiful song and is much more powerful live then on the CD.
Speaking of Ruki's stage performance, I like the way they did they end of the song where Ruki's voice continues on in the silence, holding the mic away from his mouth so it sounds more like a normal voice then a mic'd one. And with the blue light still on his totally sweat covered face, he looks just ugngeiurge *__* and sad D: why do some people look so damn gorgeous when they're sad and others look terrible? Damn you ruki.
「子宮」[Shikyu]
Okay, I can honestly say I hate this instrumental song :| I hate the sound of babies crying and this version is all electronic-fied and creepy and uugh *shudders* The sonogram images behind the boys on the screens was a kinda interesting touch. But still creepy.
紅蓮 Guren
13stairs[-]1 is my favorite heavy GazettE song, but Guren I think is the most beautiful. I really have a hard time describing how it makes me feel, especially since the way it makes me feel is kinda different the how the song means and all. You know when like... you're really sad and scared and feel really alone and all you want is to crawl in bed with your parents like you did when you were a kid and get hugged and snuggle under the covers with them? That's kinda how Guren makes me feel. And I love to just lay on my floor and close my eyes to listen to the intro because the way the guitars ascend and get stronger make me feel like I'm falling, but up instead of down in the middle of an intense storm with lightning flashing all around you and then sudden silence like you stopped falling and all you can see is stars sparkling in time with Uruha's guitar.
...That sounds kinda dumb and overly poetic descriptive doesn't it lol D: LAUGH ALL YOU WANT I DONT CARE
Anyway, Aoi has his double neck guitar (wfhweufhwef *w*) and Ruki's hair has gotten maybe twice as big as it started out cause he messed it up so much headbanging. It looks a lot like his poodle do now ♥ lol, but everything so serene and beautiful and *___* eeee I love this song so much. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this already too, but Uruha's still all herbal essence on his side of the stage. His hair's blowing so majestically in the wind of his fan xD I really like that it's not super glued in place like their hair normally is. HAIR SPRAY CAUSES CANCER I HEAR Ahh!!! And there's this one very brief moment before Uruha's guitar solo where aoi looks up and flicks his hair off his face and his expression is so calm and peaceful and OMG *smashes face into screen* GOD WHY ARE YOU SO BEAUTIFUL IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL TO BE THAT PRETTY.
There aren't many shots of the crowd during this song, but in the ones they are everyone is like *-* staring in awe up at the stage stark still. Is very cool.
The end where Ruki's whispering in the mic juuuust loud enough that you know he's doing it but can't make out wtf I can't even really tell if it's japanese or not it's too low. The whole arena blacks out the SECOND the song's over and everyone's just in stunned silence until they snap out of it enough to applause *-* unf <3
A MOTH UNDER THE SKIN
So after guren was finish, the lights go dark and there's applause and a really long pause where people started calling to them again xD Finally we do get a short MC where Ruki's just yelling out to the crowd and they're screaming back at him like their lives depend on it.
Remember when I mentioned ruki's english for Distress and Coma? Well Moth Under the Skin is another one of those titles he says and I break out into spontanious giggles at how cute it sounds when he says it. The TH sound is hard to pronounce with their accent I guess, so when he said the title it sounded like 'Moss un-dur deh skin' and I squealed and scared the dog xD lololol
Reita's bass intro :O :| do love. Do love heap tons. But again, it's really weird going from such slow sad songs to WHOO LETS BOUNCE AROUND LIKE WE'RE STILL TEENAGERS!!! The LED screens start showing 3 panels of different parts of people's faces, mix and matching them, which i think is cool (srsly huge hit with the screens guyz <3) I love how Uruha like climbs halfway up on his stand like he's some wild cat going to pounce on the crowd and Reita and aoi are ...dancing? xD iono theyre slowly spinning in circles in their places. The sound of the guitars is much more distorted then it was on the CD. God I love it when songs sound better live then on CDs *___* very few bands I like have that skill! Again... show man ruki *__* he really knows how to control himself on stage to make things seem more intense.
OMG and the crowd dancing for this one!!! I LOVE it!!!! Bounce-bounce-bounce and arms FLAILING! SO much win xD and everyone looks like their having so much fun aaaaah!!!
I like how Ruki pronounces butterfly too |D
This song seems so much shorter then their usual stuff :| so much awesome, so short a time blegh... Reita ends the song in a badass bass solo... and then *_* and THEN
COCKROACH
YEA-YUH *___* I dunno what Ruki yelled right before the song started but his face sorta went like this OAO XD it was adorable. And Aoi starts doing this little hip thrust wiggle thing as the intro starts and now with the lights brighter our attention is once again drawn to that pathetic excuse for a shirt. xD I hate you shirt. You are so in the way. Everyones throwing their heads around so awesomely, but Aoi is by far the best at it |D LOL and right before the lyrics start there's a short of the crowd and theres a fan draped over the barrier like she fell over it and is just hanging by her hips but still headbanging o_o again... I was a little concerned until I released she was smiling.
Actually as I'm watching Ruki makes the OAO face a lot during this song xD And only Aoi could make going 'DOH' look so hot :| LOLOLOL and WIN Uruha points at the crowd at the very end like YOOOOOU and they crowd all points back like NO YOU!!
IN THE MIDDLE OF CHAOS
IMHO, Moth Under the Skin and In the Middle of Chaos are the same kinda song... like almost punk rock instead of the regular rock/heavy metal the guys usually do and if I put them up together I'd pick In the Middle of Chaos as my favorite. Live wise, though, I liked Moth Under the Skin better. Don't get me wrong it sounds awesome and everyone looks like their having so much fun, but Moth Under the Skin just seemed better live then this one did. Except this one looks like ... just FUN xD Like it's just a big party the guys are throwing for us. Kai singing along again SUPER awesomely adorable xD
And and... this song is in english :| and I love ruki english.
I've said this before.
Can't say it enough.
Like on the DIM cd where he talks english to the mastering guy? :| I died. Seriously, it's the most adorable thing in the world to me. Ruki could sit there and just say random english words that mean nothing when put together and I would stare dreamily and aww at him for HOURS.
I always feel bad for Kai when everyone runs up to the front of the stage to play together and he's stuck in the back ): ): ): WE LOVE YOU KAI
Filth in the beauty
Way back when, like in 2005-2006ish, my sister first introduced me to GazettE via Mad Marble Hell Vision. I actually did not like the song at all. I didn't like the hard screams, and especially not the white noise like beginning. Still, she played mixed CDs with their songs on it whenever we drove anywhere in the car and I still didn't like them until she played me this song. I instantly fell in love with it and decided to drop the what? ...80-100 dollars for Nameless Liberty Six Guns. hey I was young and living at home with no expenses Which was the DVD out at the time. Clearly that is the snow ball that started the avalanche of GazettE fangirl you see before you today. It is all Beka's fault. Whenever I talk to someone about GazettE Filth is one of the songs I recommend first listening to.
Listening to the intro begin, it's clear that it's one of the fans biggest too cause everyone's like AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!! when it starts.
Oh, I forgot, Ruki talks a bit before hand xD but that's not important. You do see a girl who's got the hair style Aoi had during Stacked Rubbish during the talk though. YOU LOOK REALLY CUTE GIRL :O WHOEVER YOU ARE!!!! Ruki does that 'ARE YOU READY? ARE YOU READY?' thing or whatever that's translated to and then HUGE BOOM of instruments and THEN Filth starts and you can reread the line right before this paragraph xD
BUT OMFG THIS IS THE AWESOMEST CONCERT SONG!!! So much awesome headbanging eeeeh!!! The headbanging groups start forming now too and you see groups of fans standing in a circle in the aisles with their arms around each other headbanging together. *thinks that's pretty cool* I hope you guys didn't konk heads too much D: Oh! and the LED screens have switched to having a camera on each member for the audience's viewing pleasure, and also so you can see Aoi smiling at you in a way that makes you want to throw yourself at his feet and beg to be his slave for ever. I'LL DO ANYTHING YOU WANT! WHAT DO YOU NEED??? A BODY PART? LET ME GET MY SAW!!!
:| I did notice though... Ruki is either forgetting the line 'your seed and my seed never mixes', or has just decided to drop it entirely and sing the second line twice xD That bothered me just a little bit. Especially since he does it more then once, so either he's really not paying attention or he has indeed decided to drop the line xD
AND AND AND
DID ANYONE ELSE NOTICE AOI'S FUCKING HIP WIGGLE WHEN HE DID HIS PART OF THE INTRO TO THE BRIDGE WHERE THEY HEADBANG???? D: *squeak* I love the headbanging part. Swinging your head like that is hard if you haven't done it in a while cause your neck wants to tense up (at least mine does) but once you convince it to just let gooooo it's SO FUCKING FUN XD and seeing the guys all do it at the same time is just amazing. Gyah and again Ruki with the circle pacing D: you're not going anywhere what are you doing? OH BUT AOI!!! THROWING YOUR GUITAR UP ARCHING YOUR BACK LIKE THAT *0* HI THERE BELLY!!! I♥U Omg and ruki makes the best face when he's waiting for the crowd to scream 'So long so long so long' I think I rewound it like three times to watch. xDD like his jaw detached from his face for a minute there... I really want a screen cap of that.
Lol and Aoi waves at the crowd in the LED screen if you notice at the end |D sooo adorkable.
OGRE
AND THEN AND THEN!! NO time to rest as Ogre starts up with seizure inducing flashing lights and then what D: interesting effect, but it confused me the first few times I saw it... but the screen flips upside down a few times during this song >_> Not sure what to make of it but it was very distracting. *giggles* and ruki's spelling is also pretty distracting and seems out of place with the heaviness of the song, but I take the english I can xD PLus the guys all look like their having sex with their instruments during this part LOL :| not complaining there.
This song also seems shorter then the other ones... maybe it's cause it's so hard and fast? I don't have much to say about it cause if you're resisting headbanging along you're staring in awe and there's not much to say other then holy shit *_*
DISCHARGE
AND THEN. you know what's coming next *__* Ruki's yelling at the crowd and the cameras on him so you don't see it but then all of a sudden the camera breezes passed Aoi like a casual afternoon stroll and you stop. and rewind because you can't exactly comprehend what you just saw but YOU ARE PRAYING TO THE GODS OF ROCK THAT YOU ARE NOT SEEING THINGS.
NO YOU ARE NOT
AOI UNBUTTONED HIS NOT SHIRT LEAVIGN ALL THAT OPEN JUST FOR US TO DROOL OVER. ARE YOU AWARE OF WHAT YOU'RE DOING TO US GUY??? I think he is :| bastard.
Meanwhile ruki is still talking so you sorta have to electrify the poor hamster in your brain to get your wheels going again. But it's okay cause all ruki's saying is SHINA (or however it's spelled you know wtf I'm talking about) Then the guitars start and people kiss the floor as they throw themselves down on their hands and knees to headbang and people are just flinging hair everywhere like they're trying to detach their heads from their bodies.
Did anyone else hear 'customer' when ruki yelled? xD
OMG watching the crowd all headbang at the same time is so fuckign amazing :OOOO YOU GUYS RULE SO HARD And those girls who were standing in a circle headbanging are not sitting on the floor holding hands and coming like || that close to hitting one another D: More concern. But concern was forgotten as there's the camera shows aoi...d oign something... where's his other hand WHERE IS IT I DUNNO BUT I WANNA KNOW XD CAUSE IM PRETTY SURE ITS DOING SOMETHING NAUGHTY
Then you know, more head banging.
BUT THEN
Aoi's standing there as the sound of the guitars sloooowly start to fade. But he's standing in that way that people do when they're up to NO good, but pretending their not. You know that stark still maybe-if-i-dont-move-they-wont-see-me-quite-obviously-SLIDING-MY-HAND-UP-MY-CHEST-TO KISS/LICK-THE-FINGER-I-JUST-TOUCHED-MY-NIPPLE-WITH.
I CANT EVEN PUT TEXT TO THE EXPRESSION ON MY FACE OR THE REACTION I HAD TO THAT. KNOW THAT I DIED A LITTLE but I brought myself back from the abyss to watch it again.
DIM SCENE
So after that heavy heavy KILLING YOURSELF headbanging... everything goes a little calmer... winding down... except for the necessary heart restarting thanks to aoi The stage gets all shadowy with blue lights leaking through the smoke in a very mystical kind of way. And then out of the soft hum of prerecorded music Uruha's guitar begins the beginning of Dim Scene.
Now, when I first saw the line up for the DVD I was kinda like what D: why would you end it the main thing with that song after having just put us through Discharge. However, I never noticed until I watched it now, just how HARD Dim Scene is. The guitars are so heavy and pounding and Kai's drumming is just INCREDIBLE and Reita never misses a beat and Ruki's voice *_____________________* BELTING OUT HIS SCREAM WITH THE FIRST BEAT OF INSTRUMENTS! That same haunting, tortured scream he uses in Taion. The whole thing is just so chilling, it gave me goosebumps. I fell in love with this song because of this performance.
I did remember hearing in someone's live report how Ruki went on and on and on and on like forever with the lalalala and I didn't realize that they literally meant ON AND ON AND ON AND ON... I guess it was kind of like RCE with People Error when Ruki stayed on stage and did that show thing alone while the others left the stage. It was really cool, this too, but just seemed to drag forever while 「朦朧」played in the background until the solid thud of Ruki dropping the mic sounded adn he slowly stumbled off stage.
Damn this thing went from being a review to an essay D: lol kudos to those who read through this whole thing. ^^;;; I'm real tired from staring at my screen so Enores 1 and 2 will come later!
