...Rune cannons. Somehow, they've found their way to this world. This is a bad day for anyone who calls themselves a pirate.

Caught us completely by surprise. We were barely able to get away. The Dauntless is in bad shape, a lot of the crew is injured and scared...they've never even seen that kind of firepower before

Not likely. Rune Cannons were made illegal after the Island Federation was formed and the rest ran out pretty much after that.

Of course, there are theories that there might be some left. I even remember hearing a story about how the Falenans sabotaged a large Rune Cannon deposit about thirty so years ago... Of course, none of it was ever proven or anything.

That merchant's ship definitely had Rune Cannons. I'm from the era they were used, I know them when I see them.

Rune Cannons shouldn't even exist in this world...the circumstances aren't right.

That's a dangerous thing to deal with, but... I dunno! Maybe they had them here already and we just didn't notice. I mean... everything else is here.

Some of the other pirates from other ships say they've been attacked too. Whoever has these Rune Cannons sure hates pirates a lot.
