Happy Belated Birthday to Me!

Dec 11, 2006 13:22

So maybe I should have posted this yesterday, but I thought it would better to finish the day, so I could talk about everything that I did.

Unfortunately, my stomach was still all upset from the nasty pizza on Thursday (still is actually), so I mostly stayed home and relaxed.
I woke up at 8am since I couldn't really sleep anymore than that. In the morning, I made some pancakes because I didn't feel like eating sugary Coco Roos or cooking eggs and because I was starving from my upset stomach (I'd eat something and it just felt worse). The pancakes turned out nice and without a gooey middle.
I played on the internet quite a bit, surfing around on Gaia and Empyron. I drew a picture of a Gaia avatar for the Official How to Draw Anime & Manga guild there. (Yes, I got back into Gaia.)
My hot-water handle on the bathtub broke again so Jon had to find pliers(sp?) so we could manually turn it without the handle. I was not about to take a cold shower on my birthday.
I don't think I ate anything for lunch, maybe some Chicken Noodle Soup.

At 6pm, we met my mom, Paul, Danielle, and Kellie at P.F.Chang's (the bestest restaurant ever! It's a Chinese Bistro.). Paul's b-day was the before (on the 9th), so we came to celebrate his as well.
Before the appetizers, Mom had me open my presents since we had time to kill. Laura (my sister) got me a foot-tall manikin (used for referencing poses) and a small sketchbook. Mom and Paul got me a Sewing Machine(!) and some accessories like a thread holder, some thread, pins, and a sewing starter kit! I was so happy!
While we were eating our appetizers, the manager came up to us and apoligized that the group next to us took up a lot of room; they hadn't anticipated that group being so large. We didn't mind (in fact, didn't even notice until he said something), but he offered us desserts on the house in apology. We said we were celebrating our birthdays and he said even better.
Yes, I eventually ordered an alcoholic drink. I wasn't sure what to get and the only thing available on the menu were wines, beers, and cocktails. Of course, if you want a drink, you just have to already know what you want. So I opted for a White Russian since my mom likes it and I figured she could help me finish it off. I ordered one without Vodka (to potent?) and with a bit more milk. For those of you that don't know, a White Russian is Vodka, Coluha(sp?) and milk. It tasted like chocolate milk with burnt coffee/espresso (but I knew that was just the alcohol flavor). I didn't even drink half of it; I kept babying it all night.
We got a lot of food! 1 Wonton soup, 2 orders of Lettuce wraps, and 2 orders of Peking dumplings were just the appetizers! Entrees were: Mongolian beef, Crispy honey shrimp, Combo lo mein, Chicken fried rice, white rice, and brown rice. We got dessert of The Great Chocolate Wall of China(or whatever it's name is) and a Cheesecake on the house.

Earlier this month, Jon got me Elite Beat Agents. Fun game; I've almost beaten the easier mode. I'm surprised I didn't get Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest... I'm almost glad I didn't; otherwise, I wouldn't have gotten the special 2-disk edition because I'm a sucker for those. Like the new Chronicles of Narnia 4-disk that just came out!

I woke up this morning and my head was like, "OWWWW!!" Seriously?! I headache from half of a small glass of alcohol? No, I don't care much for alcohol.
