The days go by too quickly...

There isn't much that could have made this weekend any better. As I mentioned before, this is my first Friday/Saturday off with my new shift. On Friday, I went home, slept a little, got woken up by that driver telling me he would be there with my car by 6. He was somewhere near San Martin, just by the 152, and according to KiSA, thats about 40 minutes outside of San Jose. After that, I woke up and started getting things ready for the poker night.

People started showing up right on time at 7, Mark and I had ordered a pizza for dinner because I knew we wouldn't be feeling up to eating later. The first person to show up was Elizabeth, whom I hadn't met before. Really liked her though. She loved my kittens, and was funny and interesting, and she is joining my Sunday D&D game, so I'll get to see her again. After that Andy and his girlfriend Andrea arrive, and my friend Jeff calls to say he's gonna be late because he was riding his bike and it started to rain really hard and he was waiting for his girlfriend Glenna to pick him up and bring him.

When they arrive they have her elderly dog with them and Dexter was intrigued, but Sinister wanted nothing to do with him. She hid upstairs all night while Dexter tried to get him to play.

We started playing poker, and while I lost some, I was the nights big winner, with 35 bucks total. Go me! We played until about 1 or 2, and everyone left except Elizabeth who crashed on our couch after having had 2 bottles of wine. Jeff has a theory that she's got it for Mark. As I just met her, I didn't pick up that vibe, but who knows? The driver never showed up with my car.

She was gone by the time I woke up the next morning, and Mark and I spent the morning dozing off and on. The driver calls to tell me he couldn't make it last night because something to do with the truck scales, and could I give him directions to where to drop off the car. He's now by 92 (Which is Hillsdale), thats 20 minutes away!

He arrives, and Mark and I meet him up by the shopping center because he would never be able to get his truck up my street. Oh she is so beautiful! And such a dream to drive! I tap on the gas and I'm doing 40. It's hard to stay below 65 just driving up the street, forget the inner state. I needed to go pick up my dry cleaning and some belts and purses I had fixed at the shoe repair, so of course I was going for a drive. Mark didn't want to go, so I went by myself. I filled her up with gas, drove to the mall, took a picture of the car with my crappy cell phone camera and sent on off to KiSA with the caption, "Wanna go for a drive?" Not even 40 seconds after he gets it my phone rings. He says, "New car?" and I'm like "YES! YES! YES!" And we chat for a few minutes. He mentions he is out of town still, but he would want to when he got back.

I drive home and Mark and I make dinner and watch TV while we work on my character for the new D&D campaign (the last one died in a Total Party Kill a couple weeks ago). I was feeling panicked because I left it til the last minute because I just wasn't feeling it. I should have had back story, and ways my character knows one or 2 of the others, and so I suggest to Mark we go visit my friend Jeff who lives in Lod Gatos to work on it. Of course, I'll drive. *grin* Who of you didn't see that coming? Mark ALWAYS drives! I needed to put miles on the car, and of course, I want to drive. Mark keeps critiquing my driving, and it's pissing me off. He doesn't understand what a HUGE difference going from the Piece of Shit to my Scion is. There is no tension in the way it handles at all. I'll need time to get used to it.

On the way back, I suggest we stop at Safeway for some stuff for the week, and we end up spending about $130, oddly enough, most of it for him. (So I feel less guilty.) When we get home and put the stuff away, we sit down to watch some old CSI episodes from when we were moving and didn't have the TiVo set up. We had a late dessert of strawberries, low fat whipped cream, and angel food cake.

Around 11:30, while watching TV my phone rings. Buh? Who is calling this late? It's KiSA! So I answer, and he's driving up from SoCal, and he wants someone to talk to. We chat for about an hour, maybe closer to 2. We talk about my car, his trip, his car, iPods, new headphones, work, whatever. I ask him when he's gonna come up and see my new place. He asks when am I going to go down and visit his. Huh. I was like, dude, whenever you invite me. So he suggests I meet him there. I'm like now? Tonight? He says yeah. Ok. I mean, he won't be getting home until almost 3, we both have to work the next day, and I have my game. Meet him at 3 in the morning? Sure. I'm easy that way. I mention that going down there that I won't want to turn around and drive back up, especially as that it would be my second trip that day. He's ok with that. Which I find a tad bit unusual. Ever since I told him I was going to show up at his place after I got off work some night things have been a little odd.

I start getting a few things I'll need together and while I do that he calls to let me know he's making better time and will be there just after 2. So I grab a quick shower and head down. He's watching My Name Is Earl when I arrive, and we watch a couple episodes. After a while, we start kissing and it's fade to black.

This next part is gonna sound weird, considering, but before he climbs in to bed to sleep, he pops in Batman Begins. This is cool by me cause the last time I was watching it, I was over and summer_starr, and deani_bean's, and didn't get to finish cause it was late. Well, we're both tired, but we're both watching it. Except, I notice his breathing deepens. I mention he should take off his glasses, he shushes me, and continues watching the TV. It happens again, and he starts to snore softly, and tell him again to turn off the TV, and take his glasses off. He shushes me again and watches more of the movie. Only this time, he dozes off even faster. By this time, I've given up. I'm trying to fall asleep myself, but between the movie and his snoring, I'm not having any luck. I must have slept eventually, because I feel him move and he finally takes his glasses off. I wake up needing the little girls room, and it's daylight. The TV is still on. After I get back in the bed (limping because I stubbed my toe getting down), I drift off again and the next time I wake, it's 9:30, and his alarm just went off. He shuts it off and climbs back in bed, and lay there for I guess 15 minutes because the alarm sounds again. This obnoxious song on his phone. This time I it up cause no way no day am I sleeping at this point. He's awake this time too, and he turns the movie back on and we watch until another alarm goes off a few minutes later. This time his alarm clock. I have to laugh at the overkill. I tease him a bit and he mentions he didn't want to risk not waking up after driving all night. All too soon it's time for us to get ready to leave.

You know, I have been wanting to sleep with him and wake up next to him for a while now. It's happened, but not in the way I thought it would. I'm gonna have to work on that. He's cute when he sleeps though.

He heads to work, and me to my game, which was a lot of fun in spite of my lack of sleep. I'm at work now, and starting to feel really tired. All I want to to drive to KiSA's place and crawl in to bed beside him. Instead, at 3:30 when I leave, I'll just drive home because I need to see my kittens, and shower, and get fresh clothes. (I have all my shower stuff with me, but it's the fresh clothes and kittens I want)

So it's been a great weekend, and I was sorry it ended.

boys, car, poker
