The other day when I came home from school and drank some water, I thought I loosened some food fragment from my teeth, but when I felt it with my tongue, I automatically spit it out onto the floor. It was a small cockroach. I looked at the glass of water in my hand and there was another one on the outside. I nearly dropped the glass ( Read more... )

Yikes. That will ruin your glass of water. This reminds me, I have to go in our attic and throw away this huge dead rat and put down poison. I found it up there a couple weeks ago but I didn't want to touch it without gloves.

Yuck.
Well I have no compassion for our fleas!
My poor dog woke up itching like crazy today, I would do anything to get rid of these things! I hate seeing my pup suffer.
I have never seen a cochroach in this house, however we do have this flying black bugs that look like huge ants. They used to come in the bathroom window and fly around while I was in the shower. We finally fixed that problem I think with some caulk.

Look at you with your new picture!

Yeah, I've seen your black bugs. No bug inside one's house is a good thing, but those bugs don't scare me much. The fleas consuming a member of my family is another thing entirely! That warrants an all out war to the finish ( ... )

War to the finish indeed. I have turned to apple cider vinegar in a desperate attempt to avoid chemicals. I put a little dab in her water everyday which balances her ph levels, also I use a half acv half water mix after her baths as a rinse, it works as an antiseptic for her red irritated skin, and also it is supposedly a deterent for the little buggers. I have read alot of testimonials online about these techniques but everything takes time to see any results. We continue to treat the house and yard however after we treated the yard last time we had rain and snow so it was all probably washed away. We will keep at it though ( ... )

Ordinarily a huge dead rat would trump a cockroach, but somehow I'm thinking not in this case. I was traumatized and shaky every time I drank water for the rest of the day. But I have also been traumatized by a rat, and even by a mouse. I fluctuate between being a Buddhist about it and being Hitler.
