It's Friday. I have a 3 day weekend ahead of me!
The weather is getting chilly so I'm starting to think about my future winter activities, like going to see my fambly! Plus, I'm really enjoying the book I'm reading, Long Walk to Freedom by Nelson Mandela. He's such a special person. His prison experience was very different from Malcolm X's. On top of that, I'm teaching a new class that is in the math part, a nice contrast to English.
Lately I've been making an effort to dress more professionally, and I think I've figured it out. I read somewhere that chunky jewelry adds to authority, and I've been trying to wear more than I used to. I don't like it and I don't think it looks as good as going without, but it isn't horrible, so I wear it. Today I found out my picture is in our school newspaper with an article on dress codes and a caption saying that students suggested my name when asked for an example of a professionally dressed teacher. Everywhere I went today, people were saying they saw me in the paper. I'm famous! hehe
