Good good things happen in bad towns
August 15, 1451
The tavern was loud and lively, just the kind of place for two demons to get into trouble. It didn’t take much for them to get this party going, but by the time they started drinking and inhibitions started falling, there was far too much fun to be had.
Avnas had wandered around the room, getting most of the tenants of the pub all hot and bothered, relaxed and lazy. More ale had gone through them than was humanly possible, and drinking songs had been reduced to slurs and off-key notes. It was only a few hours before Avans was returning to him, sliding into his lap, and letting her body rest in close to him, staying as close as possible.
“Are you sure about this?” she murmured, running her fingers through his hair as she tilted his head to the side before starting to nibble down his neck. He closed his eyes in pleasure for a moment, before opening them again and looking over the various bodies, feeding off their unsuspecting pleasure and relaxation, enjoying how they had no idea of what was to come.
“Mmm,” he said with a nod, before turning back to her with a small smile. “Lock the doors. I don’t want any of them escaping.”
She gave a heavy sigh, before getting up and making her way over to the main door, lowering a heavy beam across the front of the door, before moving around to each of the other exits and taking the same precaution. Once she was finished, she turned back to him with a nod, before disappearing up the stairs to the living quarters, closing the door to the stairs behind her.
“Where’s yer lady love goin’, m’ friend?” one of the patrons turned to him with a frown. “That pretty lass was certainly a bright spot on m’ evenin’.”
“I’m sure she was,” Alloces said with a sigh. “However, she didn’t want to watch.”
“Didn’ want to watch what, exactly?” the man said with a frown.
“She didn’t want to watch me kill you.”
