Well, I saw Troy again today and I STILL LOVED IT!! In fact, I think I got teary more the second time around, and I loved Hector even more. I got to look at things more, because I knew how it went and I could look at different characters and pick up on nuances, etc. Eric is da bomb...*loves* And I got to absorb the sweaty naked Orli and his navel

i'm so glad you're all a-squee over troy! i love it so much but most of my flist have mixed feelings about it. some have been even downright cruel about Orli ...

yeah, there are bits of troy i didn't like, and some characters, but i loved the movie overall.

you're so right about the Orli/Paris thing. before the movie came out, some guy at aintitcoolnews.com went on and on about how horrible Orli was and how he ruined the whole movie because he stole some man's wife and was a complete coward ... i was like, dude, that's his character; you're -supposed- to kind of despise him, so that's like a compliment that you to hate him so much.

though, i must say, when Paris was clinging to Hector's leg [besides having a slashy underpants on fire moment] i felt sorry for him - he looked so frightened.

a number of publications called his role thankless, and i agree. Paris was complicated, and i think Orli did a decent job playing him.

i thought the whole movie was fantastic.

That "Troy in 15 minutes" is hilarious! And I've been thinking about going again as I don't think I alloted enough time for enjoying the Orli nakedness the first time around.

I was so shocked the first time I didn't get a chance to focus on anything but his badly covered tattoo...heee...this time the scene seemed a bit longer than I remembered as I was prepared for it--*guh* He's all sweaty and shiny and that lil trail of hair under his belly button...*collapses*

He is sooo narrow, though...my goodness! *feeds him cookies*

Yeah, I saw that article, but some of the girls were saying it was from an unreliable source and probably wasn't true... I dunno, generally they don't like you to look different once you've started filming, but I think Eric was a bit more pumped up in certain scenes...so who knows.

The way Orli dresses, I think he's always a bit self-conscious about being so skinny, so I'm hoping it's at least not intentional that he's that thin. Someone needs to take better care of him!
