Troy SQUEEEEEE X2!!!
Well, I saw Troy again today and I STILL LOVED IT!! In fact, I think I got teary more the second time around, and I loved Hector even more. I got to look at things more, because I knew how it went and I could look at different characters and pick up on nuances, etc. Eric is da bomb...*loves* And I got to absorb the sweaty naked Orli and his navel...*gah*
Hubby made an "oof" sound during the Hector/Ajax fight scene and shrank in his chair. This, my friends, is the equivalent of a monk who's taken a vow of silence exclaiming "oof" during a film. This, coupled with the fact that he looked visibly pleased when we left the theater ranks it at at least 3 1/2 stars...lol...
Sure, some of the dialogue was corny but I still loved everyone's performances and loved the pretty and some of the visuals were just amazing. And I still felt all pumped up with adrenaline afterwards. And I want to see it again. Especially for this scene, one of Eric's and Orli's best...*adores*
Thanks to leggyslove--you've GOT to run over to her journal...lots of screencaps, including a blurry but very nekkid Paris...that boy's hips must be something like 22"...eee!...he is sooooo slender. But also so sweaty with a nice set of pecs and pretty decent shoulders, I might add, for being such a willowy guy...*nibbles*
AND I loved the movie but am not averse to reccing a spit-take worthy satire on it...put down whatever you're drinking and *sporfle* your way through: **Troy in Fifteen Minutes**
