Orlando Bloom in minor car collision in LAOur boy is okay and appears to be faultless, thank goodness, but two poor women passengers were hurt. If he's right about the cause, it's one more reason to curse the paparazzi ( Read more... )

It is scary, isn't it? It drives me crazy that this kind of stuff continues to go on. It's not right to jeopardize people's safety to get a stupid photo!

I'm glad no one was seriously hurt. (Well, fractured neck sounded bad to me but apparently his friend is out of the hospital already ..)

*hugs*

Yeah, I read "fractured neck" and then the next line said "slightly injured"...so I dunno, apparently a fractured neck is not as serious as it sounds? Gah. I'm glad too that it didn't turn out worse.

*hugs back*

I've read more than one article that said no drugs or alcohol were involved, so that seems pretty concrete.

And who knows what he thought he was doing when he wandered away? Like you said, people who've been in a wreck tend to be in shock -- he might've been trying to go look for a cop or an ambulance for all we know. And maybe the laws in England are different about walking away from a car accident? The first article I read made it sound like he'd hopped back in the car and tried to peel out or something. Oh yeah, totally they're trying to make him sound as evil as possible. He seemed more like he just wanted to try and get away from the cameras and call for help. I just get the impression he's not good at handling this kind of stuff and didn't know what to do--kind of like a kid. I mean, hell, Eric Bana said the boy can't even make coffee. So I'm thinking he just freaked out and heck, that can happen to anyone.

So far the legit news outlets seem to be just reporting it as a minor accident that paparazzi prolly caused. They don't say anything bad about Orlando, which is good.

Hollywood sucks.
I don't understand how a normal person can stand living there.
Well, business,of course, but the price is high...
I also thought Orlando acted weird, even before the accident, with this guy in the car, nearly arguing about the girl.
But,no serious injures, police said there was neither alcohol nor drugs involved, and the worse is the owner of the parked Porsche crying his eyes out for his darling car!

I thought the thing in the car was a misunderstanding and a bit of macho posturing...heh. Orli's always been a bit flaky so it didn't really strike me as all that weird for him. As I said to angie, the reputable news outlets don't seem to be making a big deal out of this, so that's good. No one was seriously hurt, and by all accounts the police don't hold Orli in any fault. All good stuff.

I don't feel that sorry for people with a Porsche...heh. I'm sure their insurance will take care of it!

Ok, so he paniced a bit or got confused or something.
He is not flawless and he is not a bleedin' saint. We all
do stupid things once in a while.
He went back and he dealt with it, that is all that matters.
The ironly is that he probably has one of the paps to thank for getting a grip though-

I don't think all paparazzi are jerks (or lunatics, like the drivers of the car that caused the accident), so it was lucky that he got people decent enough to snap him back to reality. And I wasn't sure, but I think some of them actually helped with the injured girl, so at least that.

I think Orli was in a daze--really, the boy is a bit flaky at the best of times. I'm betting he wanted to just get away from the cameras and call someone to come help him, you know? It's a scary enough situation w/o all these cameras in your face. Argh.
