my kingdom for a nap

Greetings, the internet. I am very tired.

On Monday evening, I returned from a multi-city trek in which I crossed many time zones, ate a lot of fabulous food, saw many friends, hauled a lot of luggage, and somehow managed to miss two Fall Out Boy shows, a Mindless Self Indulgence show (too exhausted), a red-haired Gerard Way at Dragon*Con, and Frank Iero at the Leathermouth show tonight.

I'm only slightly bitter. I have a new job and some new toys. I have swag. I bought pretty earrings at Dragon*Con. I was squished in an elevator with Gareth David-Lloyd. I participated in a group project to entertain Edward James Olmos and embarrass athena4lynn. Due to lack thereof, two of our double bed hotel rooms got upgraded to adjoining suites over the weekend, and we figured out how to hook up a DVD player to the TV so we could watch Slings & Arrows. The suites were totally awesome. nestra did some dramatic readings from the free (and execrable) Sherrilyn Kenyon book available in the dealer's room. delle gave me some delectable raspberry jam. Michael Rosenbaum is hilarious. Anthony and Matthew Lewis are adorable. I still kind of want to marry Nathan Fillion. Hayden Panettiere is wee. Avery Brooks needs to be accompanied by a soundtrack of smooth jazz and finger-snaps.

I am very glad to be back at home in Chicago. I missed my bed. I plan to loll in it after work this week while drinking a gin and tonic and attempting to catch up on the backlog of stuff on my TiVo.

Due to having an open plan office, I probably won't be surfing LJ or checking my email at work. Not until I receive a few paychecks and purchase an iPhone, anyway.

Things good. Will have monies soon. Me tired. Braiiiiins.
