This year I made the decision that I want to read and write more, and at least once a month, I need to go do something cool in the big city. Like go to a museum, a concert, or a play, because why live in Chicago if I'm not going to take advantage of it?
Last Saturday, I went (with
tzikeh et al.) to see Thom Pain (based on nothing), put on by
Theater Wit. The play was written by Will Eno, and it earned him a Pulitzer nomination. The New York Times called the play "Samuel Beckett for the Jon Stewart generation." It's seventy minutes of awesome, and if you have a free night and $25, I encourage everyone to go see it. Hell, I'm tempted to go see it again.
