Today, I made the slightly disturbing discovery that I don't exist.  It's been a bit of a shock to me to discover this, as I'm sure you can guess.

Someone I don't know:  Where are you from?
Me:  Cambridge
SIDK:  But where are you really from?
Me:  I was born in Newmarket.  Does that help?
