I'm currently slightly addicted to murder mystery novels - probably because they're not too intellectually taxing and tend to be better written than other light fiction - but I'm starting to run out of Agatha Christies.. Any recommendations for me?
I like:
Good prose style.
Murder mysteries rather than crime - straightfoward, not too much faffing with police procedure, etc.
Things set between 1910 and 1960. (Preferably written between those dates too.)
Decent characterisation but not too much pyschology.
Agatha Christie, Dorothy L. Sayers, Georgette Heyer, that kind of author.
