I'm listening to the Today programme on how many non-white British children remain in care because councils won't let them go to white couples. It's horrible - there was an Irish woman who wanted to adopt an Irish child but who was refused because her husband was English. I also now feel guilt-tripped - maybe I should be adopting any Gujarati infants out there? Not that it's very practical at the moment..
