Halloween
SO many years ago Halloween seemed like the most important day in the world.
The excitement of dressing up, and going out with friends and getting so much candy. The joy of looking through to find bags that were tampered with by some sicko in the neighborhood that killed kids. Your little imagination running wild on any piece with a package that had any damage. "Oh this one must be poisoned!"
then going back out again to load up on a second trip.
Knocking on all the doors even if their lights were out obviously because they did not wanna be disturbed but you knocked anyway. The joy of having nothing else at all on your mind but that day, that very night was the only thing that exsisted.No worries of the electric bill being 2 months past due or that it's time for an oil change not to mention you have to go stock up on milk for breakfast for tomorrow.
Nothing mattered but meeting up with your friends and coming home with who's got the bigger pile of goodies and the freakier Halloween costume.
ahhh, those were the days. Now I get to relive those days if only for a night again all over through the eyes of my child. I even get to share his candy!
