Sunnydale AU: flashback part I

There's nothing much that distinguishes this particular event from any of the others the Chandlers have attended this year. The usual type of people, the usual chatter, and for Grahame Chandler, the usual boredom. They're past the point of the evening where people are inclined to pretend interest in him - Reed is the Chandler brother everyone wants to talk to. His charisma draws them in.

Frankly, this suits Grahame just fine. He's very good at concealing his contempt for mindless conversational partners, but he's much happier not having to do it.
