Instead of mewing loudly, or crying as L. puts it, Mia has taken to pulling all sorts of stunts to let me know that her food bowl is empty, would I kindly refill? And then she'll maul my hand with claws and mini-bites ("She's being affectionate," L. says) until I leave her alone to nap nearby.
